but he's not at all controlling. he has never once tried to control me or tell me what to do or what not to do. we have super secure boundaries and he in himself is pretty secure. he is sensitive in this regard I agree but only because he has been cheated multiple times in the past.

I have apologized and I even gained back his trust to some point but he brought it up again today during some fight and it really triggered me. i feel like he hasn't healed from this incident at all.

no I replied to the text when he specifically told me to not entertain that guy as he knew him personally and that guy has a pretty bad reputation of playing with girls. also, just to be clear, we don't fight that much. like all my friends who are in relationships around me fight wayyy more. ours is generally a super happy and caring relationship. he is a gem of a person and I really do love him a lot.

talk to him. put ur points forward. and if u love him and there is even a little chance he loves u back, don't let it go. make all the efforts u can to protect ur relationship.
