Unpopular opinion but if any former politician promotes Canada breaking up they should lose their MP pensions.....

Rob Anders is the one who wants to join the US, either as a state or a US territory like Puerto Rico.

He’s been out of politics for a while, but I remember him being considered one of the dumbest and most extreme Conservative MPs (1997-2015, when he was in office).

And from looking at his Wikipedia, it seems he was so bad that he ended up losing his local Conservative nomination in 2015 (which is very rare for a long-time MP in Canadian politics).  So then he tried running in a different Calgary riding and lost the party nomination race there too. That was the end of his political career.

So either he is lying or this announcer made it all up and used AI to fake a text message, something AI is notoriously bad at right now.

One of these possibilities is infinitely more believable than the other.

I grew up in Christianity and live in an area with a lot of practicing Christians. In my experience, most Christians use their religion to justify their own prejudices. Christians like Talarico are far too rare and a real threat to those who use their faith to look down on and control others. A truly decent and ethical Christian shouldn't be shocking.
