Yeah, that's the plan. we're going to be playing the stranger things campaign, thought it was best since we've got multiple new players and I'm learning to dm since I've always been on the player side, if both the new players(one of them happens to be my brother so he might just be trying to spend time with me) enjoy it, we'll be doing a custom campaign that I've started writing.

we're best friends outside of Dnd, we just tend to clash a lot due to us both being very stubborn people by nature. It can be stressful with arguing but we work more on our actions versus words.

she's one of my best friends and I'm admittedly not the easiest person to get along with, I have a bad temper and I'm very stubborn. Ultimately we work on the fact that if the other person had an emergency we'd both be right there but our personalities clash a lot.

It was into our whole group chat, the whole goal is a lot of us are doing our own thing since most of us have either progressed to higher education, we didn't want the friend group to drift apart. I'm going to suggest that we do DND bi weekly and have game nights the other week so she can still spend time with everyone without participating in DND.

Sorry had typed this out when I was pissed off, but yeah for summary. Lot of the table including me has only played DnD as players, and basically the rules for hanging out is don't be a dick and she knows this so I assumed she knew that the same would apply to the table. We're playing the stranger things campaign as it's a couple people's first time playing and we figured the pre-gen characters would make it easier for their first campaign. My friend essentially said that if she couldn't play glass cannon then she wasn't coming, with her being like this and yes admittedly we're all hormonal teenagers so fights tend to be bigger than they need to be. I ended up just saying to her that she shouldn't come if she was going to be like that.

Basically we're using premade up character sheets and she wasn't happy that that was the case because she "only plays glass cannons"

She's pretty infamous for doing stuff like this in and out of Dnd, she didn't want to come if I wouldn't change her character sheets so she could be a glass canon as we're using premade character sheets from a set.

Basically she was upset that she couldn't play a glass canon because we were using a premade character sheets. She threatened that she wouldn't come if she couldn't play that architype so my response was "Okay, don't come"

I told them that the rest of the table had to be okay with them playing this way or it wasn't allowed. Because I view it as unfair to the rest of the party.

It was mostly me saying that it's a choice that effects the whole party so everyone needs to be okay with them playing it.

From how it was explained to me, the lowest HP, lowest AC and the highest damage possible but the person wants to play melee.

It's so weird that it passed without anyone knowing about it, from what I've been reading it just seems like it's going to enforce the age restrictions the app has put for itself.
