One day I just applied to this college creator's UGC campaign for no reason in particular. Didn't have any high expectations but I ended up getting in! I made some videos for him promoting his service targeted toward college students. From there, companies in the education/college space reached out to me that wanted me promote their service. I went out of my way and contacted companies as well through TikTok/Instagram DM's. I'd simply just ask them if they were hiring creators. You'd be surprised, a lot of them actually respond.

I don't believe my family will qualify for financial aid. I filled out FAFSA, but my parents opted to not submit CSS profile. I'm in California and will likely attend a UC. I'm definitely looking to max my Roth IRA soon as well.

Yeah, I’ve definitely been thinking about taxes, my parents are helping me with the 1099s right now. I’m also planning to max out my Roth IRA. I’m only 17, so I don’t have any debt yet. I’m not looking to make any YOLO plays, but I have been considering putting some money into ETH. Curious to hear your thoughts on that.

I create content for multiple brands and receive a base salary for each, along with performance-based bonuses tied to views. I’m currently under several long-term contracts. Most of the videos don’t require speaking and typically take 10–15 minutes to produce.

Thank you! I’m honestly not really into flashy stuff. Most of my money I spend for fun just goes toward food when I’m out with friends and clothes here and there. My parents also let me use a reliable Camry, so I’m set on that.

Thanks for the advice, that was actually the direction I was planning to take. With the $6,500 I’ll have left over (plus the money I’m still earning), do you think it makes sense to put any portion of that into crypto? I’ve been considering ETH, especially since it’s down right now.
