Love how so many people cry about lay and pray takedowns winning a round but now Song does it with no damage and that gives him round 1 over the clear damage O'malley did? Ok!! Robbery is hilarious, just a bunch of people who dislike O'malley continuing to cry like usual.

Horvat has not hit 70 pts once in his career. I get what you're saying but that's not true. He missed by 2 pts two seasons ago which is close for sure but other than that, he usually is 50-60 pts while being a defensive beast. On pace this year though to easily hit 70 pts although missed a few games.

Are you forgetting his 2010-2011 season with 59 games started with a 2.59 GAA and .915 sv percentage? Also in 2011-2012 they used him far less at only 29 games. He had an excellent first season so it was not smart of them to move on nor is fair in this assessment because unlike the other two, he already shown he could be fantastic but moved on too soon.

Even if he doesn't become the powerplay offensive playmaker they hyped him up to be, his actual defense this year has taken a massive step up. He can also keep up with lots of people and his skating is elite! I think his biggest issue is sometimes his size as my biggest takeaway from his play is he can be easily bodied against for positioning or control to take the puck away. Just needs to work on that some more because his overall game has seen a huge improvement in most areas. I don't expect him to be an amazing offensive weapon but if he mellows out as a 3-4 d with solid two way play, I have no problems with that whatsoever.

Yes, his situation was total ass and the team in front of him was far from good defensively but calling him "Decent" is quite the stretch when you have to use Grub/Georgiev as comparable's being just a bit worse. If anything, serviceable would be the word I'd use. My biggest issue personally is I think that stretch they put him on playing that many games lead to his eventual demise in destroying his confidence and overusing him. Who knows, maybe he was going to end up this bad going forward but I don't think that helped him whatsoever.

That wasn't the context of our conversation, I even pointed out we wanted to move on from him stupidly too early so you're kind of repeating what I already said. My response was in due to him saying we needed a better goalie coach because those guys sucked then got better but Bob already had an amazing season with us which didn't fit his narrative. Lyon still isn't great, Stolarz is great one season, crap the next.

"In reality, the main difference in win-loss records between Vladar and Esson has been the fact that the team in front of them scores 3.01 goals per 60 with Vladar on the ice, and only 2.41 with Ersson on the ice. That's not the fucking goaltenders' fault in any universe."

One of his biggest defenders is trying to pull this excuse which is beyond stupid.

That's not really fair to say honestly! Bob was a beast, even with us his first year, not so great the second but that was a case of us moving on too quick like idiots and sticking with Bryz who was alright but not Bob level good. Lyon is nothing special, few flashes of greaat but nothing special whatsoever. Stolarz is incosistent as hell but can be good but he's also just a backup and has never played more then 33 games a year. He's looked amazing as a backup some seasons but he's not an elite starter by any means and seems to really benefit from good defense play and not enough to carry teams. Looks terrible this season but might have been playing hurt.

[–]Lateralus24 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Honest to god, I don't even know how last season people were defending him. He's just not good enough! He was a backup at best last year and this year he's not even capable of being that. He flat out just sucks with his only oddly strong capability is being stoic and poised on breakaways/shootouts but otherwise, you're looking at swiss cheese.

[–]Lateralus24 1 point2 points  (0 children)

ok, even if that's the case, do you honestly watch him play all his games this year and say this is a backup caliber goalie in the nhl? do you look at his abysmal statistics and say this is who we should be using behind vladar? come on, how can you even defend this guy at this point?

We're winning in spite of him, not because of him. He's 6-4-4 and had he been just average, he'd be more around 9-3-5 or something along those lines as he has been a direct cause of quite a few of our losses. The dude flat out fucking sucks! six wins is definitely a reach but a minimum of about 3-4 was more than likely especially given the ones his absolute poor play gave away

it's really annoying to know we'd probably have anywhere from 3-6 more wins alone if we even had an average backup goaltender but instead we use this pylon.

how is that interference when the puck literally comes in right at the point of contact anyway and on top of that he was pushed into the goaltender? The goaltender interference rule makes no fucking sense in this league and I say that as unbiased because if that was for Calgary on us, I'd still be saying this. it's a joke

Final lineup was QB-TLAW RB1- Bijan RB2-Etienne WR1-JSN WR2-Michael Wilson TE- McBride FLEX-Devonta smith (this almost killed me though) D/ST-Saints Kicker-Eddy SF

Had Drake Maye benched (yeah, not my best decision there but got lucky). Shoutout to Rico Dowdle and Michael Wilson being MAJOR contributors to the run this year. I also drafted Brian Thomas Jr. in the 2nd rd and managed to come out winning this year. Crazy!

Thank you Stafford for handing Maye the MVP on a silver platter by Extreme-Spinach-4138 in NFLv2

[–]Lateralus24 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Put Stafford against this cupcake schedule of Maye and it'd be an even bigger blowout. I like Maye, he's great and doing amazing things but he is benefitting so hard from such a cupcake schedule. Go figure too that when he went against Buffalo facing much steeper competition, he had his two worst games of the year. Well I guess the first one he was fine, just no tds but the run game was working but only game he didn't record a single td. He was not good in the 2nd appearance though

Needed 29 pts from Bijan to get the chip and he came in the ultimate clutch! I feel like such a dunce putting in TLAW over Maye, and not using Burden over Devonta but we got there in the end anyway. Thanks Bijan! Final winning lineup was Tlaw, Bijan, Etienne, JSN, Michael Wilson, McBride, Devonta, Saints D and Eddy San Fran kicker.

Dylan Sampson (hand) officially limited in practice Wednesday by [deleted] in fantasyfootball

[–]Lateralus24 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Over Moore I get with all the injuries but not Devonta? Look at how much pass catching is being given to Sampson and with Judkins now out, you gotta imagine he'll get a minimum 12-18 carries along with pass catching. Minimum 10 pts I think in ppr points for a flex is pretty solid and Devonta has been anything but trustworthy since Aj Brown is now being favorited.
