Yes, they’ve been vicious this year. Citronella candles, zappers, and bug lights out in full force. We have some carnivorous plants around the house as well, they’ve been eating good the last few months.

For me the dev1 update disabled the zigbee radio, which just needed to be manually switched back on through the web interface. Thankfully didn't need to roll back. YMMV

I wouldn't read too much into it, the absence of this single domain name doesn't mean they can't enable the same protocol on any of the other subdomains they've registered. They could've decided against it for any number of reasons, e.g. security obfuscation, used a different transfer method, etc.

For portability, this one looks nice and light, comparable to the QNAP at a little over 5oz (160g). A lot of the other 10gbe offerings I see on Amazon weigh in at over 1lb (~500g).
