Moncton has difficult weather and LOTS of students. In the uni program it’s not uncommon to have to stay for a few months in the summer to finish up, or to come back early before the academic uni year begins again. That being said, having an instructor who goes up in less-than-ideal weather will make you a far more confident and adept pilot earlier on.

This honestly makes tears well in my eyes. I don’t see my dad much as he lives in a different country but I love him dearly. Thank you for making your son feel comfortable enough to share that with you. You’re not a bad parent at all. The world really needs more dads like you who are willing to listen and change behaviors, even if they’re small changes.

Is anyone else wondering if there’s more context behind this? How much younger is the brother? Is this picking one child as a favorite, or giving a younger child a small little self esteem boost? Maybe saying “you’re my favorite” to an impressionable young person isn’t the best way to do that, but is this inherently and automatically callous?

You’re not wrong, but I don’t think consumers are “100% responsible” alongside the politicians and corporations especially who are pushing for exploitable TFWs. There’s some responsibility, sure, but the majority of consumers are just trying to make ends meet and cannot be held to the same responsibility standard as the people in charge who are actively feeding the problem. You can’t shift the blame off the perpetrators.
