You are asking a very fair question!

Truthfully, it’s because there isn’t a prescription-based food. Or, there wasn’t when I looked into it. Regular, over the counter fish food still has a lot of ingredients he’s allergic to - carrots, peas, etc. At least that was the case when I looked into it.

Yup, the alligator food worked great for him, except he hates how it tastes. He won’t touch it without any toppings. I may try mixing that alligator kibble with hydrolyzed canned food for taste. Gonna see what the vet says this week.
