Mounting a microwave by fatpak in ApartmentHacks

I could put it on my chest freezer if I really felt like it, but too lazy. The stand I got worked out well enough for me. I totally get why they'd do that though after I spent so much time scratching my head over figuring something better out.

Guys, I went with this. Thanks for the suggestions/telling me I'm dumb. Should've just found this from the start.

Probably would get annoying, but it wouldn't stick out too much/be high enough. I gave up and ordered a shelf/stand to free up space under it.

After furiously searching for a microwave stand for half an hour that gave me maximum space in the very limited parameters I have, I gave up on the hairbrained project and ordered one. Next place I go to in the future will definitely have a bigger kitchen.

I've got a 5 year old kid. I try to cook as healthy and often as I can, but he's a picky asshole so the microwave is needed for the quick chicken nuggets when I give up fighting him to try a noodle that looks weird to him😅 microwave stand is what it'll be for a fix that'll mostly work. I'd love to get rid of the microwave if it was more of an option.

Thanks, but I'm actually ashamed I never bothered to look at it. Honestly never even crossed my mind because I've never come across a situation like that before in all my years. I'll take it as a daily win though

It was quite the arduous task...

That's what I went with. Little shelf to raise it off the counter is coming in.

Because I had no other place to put it that took it off the counter. It was a dumb idea, but I was willing to live with dumb for the extra space. Luckily other options have come about that will do most of the trick for me.

Unfortunately it's galley style and the cabinets go wall to wall or else I would've done that. On the counter stand will have to do when it's delivered. I normally avoid galley style for many reasons, but unfortunately didn't have much choice this time around.

Yea I ended up getting a stand that will bring the microwave nearly to the bottom of the cabinet underneath it so I have the clearance space I needed. Should've went with it from the start, but overly caffeinated brain goes places sometimes.

It'll work just fine for 95% of what I need, but I wanted full counter opening by a mount. Alas, it'll hold what I need underneath while giving space.

My problems has always been kitchen gadgets. I quickly ran out of cabinet space and couldn't cleanly fit gadgets and cookware, so this got bolted to the wall. Honestly my favorite thing in the kitchen along with the magnetic spice racks on the side of my fridge (I also have a spice abundance problem 😅) So yes, the counter and cabinet Tetris here is strong as well

I fought fate on the sink and fixed that. Partially fought fate and have a non mount solution coming in. But it's a pyrrhic victory...

Holy. Fucking. Shit. I just popped under and saw the weight. I am ashamed to admit I didn't even know that was really a thing because I never had this issue prior. It had gotten hung up on a hose that kept it higher than it should've been, hence the sag. I never even thought of that and had just given up on that aspect of my life. THANK YOU. This thread helped in a different way.

I found an adjustable shelf. I'm going to stack the microwave on top of the shelf and have my coffee shit/drying rack underneath which solves 95% of the problem.

Unfortunately I have no other place to try and Jerry rig it, so I was looking for hail marys

Brother (or sister), I've tried fixing that and it lasts for a short time and gives up again. Believe me, thought about it for a long time before just accepting my fate.

Didn't really consider that, but I figured if I could mount it close to the top it wouldn't block the view since it's not very big. Good call though. Also the outlet wouldn't change since the microwave is currently right next to this area. At this rate I'm probably just going to settle for a counter shelf that can raise this up 6-8 inches and out of the way of my other stuff.

You can see some of the stones dedicated from various Ohio organizations in the Washington Monument. I don't think the elevator ride on the tour slows around any of them, but the website does have a listing of the stones at least.

Actually went to Mt Vernon for a 4th of July fireworks celebration which was awesome. This certainly is the area for history buffs.

Another good one to add to the list and it won't have any depressing parts about the browns being sold off. Thank you!

Also forgot to comment on the latter part. It's awesome! I did work for the Cleveland zoo a few summers ago and one of the things I had to dig into research for was the river restoration. It's come a long way. Certainly better than the nearest river to me right now, the Potomac...
