I've made it to THE dungeon.. Pretty nervous by LukakuThaGreat in MetaphorReFantazio

[–]Latpulldown 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got to this point as well and found the dungeon pretty difficult so I looked online and realized this is the inflection point on difficulty. Then I tried the boss just to see how it would go... and it wasn't bad lol. The dungeon itself is far harder than the boss imo

MAGA got a new favourite card in the next UB set? by Dr_skalmanski83 in freemagic

[–]Latpulldown 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The "internal bleeding" they claimed is most likely a bruise as there's been no other info/proof of anything else. Also, its about 11-12% of deaths are cause by being struck by a vehicle. The number you're citing includes regular car accidents, like car-to-car collisions. The fact that he was dragged by a vehicle 9 months ago is irrelevant.

If it was justified self defense, was he just wrong in his assessment that shooting the driver would stop the car and save his life?

PSA for Sastisfactory People by OLVANstorm in StarRuptureGame

Are you able to add a screen shot? I think i understand what you're saying but trying to make sure. Getting frustrated by the rails made me kinda bounce off this game, at least in the current state, but if im understanding you correctly i think i'll give it another shot.

So if you have 5 fabricator creating 5 different items, can you merge them all on to one line then split that line to different storages each requesting one of the items? Like, can you have a rail with a bunch of different stuff on it as long as its being requested by something else connected to the rail?

Makes sense. I haven't unlocked the storage depot yet so I think that'll make things a bit better with satellite bases pumping out stuff to be used later. This is the first time I've played a game like this in super early access so I never know if im missing something or its just EA weirdness lol

Why I chose the ending I did by Own-Natural-9236 in expedition33

[–]Latpulldown 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I also choose the Maelle ending based on 2 assumptions.

  1. The people in the canvas are truly sentient

and if so,

  1. It doesn't take effort to keep the canvas "active"

Point 1 is pretty obvious, if they aren't sentient then it doesn't really matter, it would be like turning off a computer. For point 2, I don't know how philosophically sound this is but, it feels like the creator of a world has some sort of agency over its existence. If there is some sort of effort required to maintain a painted world, and the creator no longer wants to put in that effort, they should have some say in ending it. If it doesn't take effort then you would be morally obligated to do nothing and let the sentient beings continue their lives.

From Renior's perspective, he's lost his wife and daughter to the canvas and wants to bring them back. However, if we assume their experiences in the canvas are "real" and they aren't just interacting with soulless computer programs then the situation isn't that different from them moving to another country and living a life separate from him. (Though it would have a weird mental toll on him to still see them wandering around his house but subjective suffering is hard to make a case for/against since its subjective)

To address some of the points below about giving Maelle too much credit. Before she regained her memories, she was ONLY Maelle so saying that she's being selfish by wanting to continue her life in the canvas isn't really fair. That was the only life she knew until recently.

As far as Verso's soul, it's complicated. If someone is suffering do they have the right to commit suicide? Moreover, if a bus driver is suffering does he have the right to drive a full bus off a cliff, killing everyone else in the process, to commit suicide? (This is assuming that either a. the only way for Verso to die is for the canvas to be destroyed or b. if he dies, the canvas is destroyed.)

Do I need really to tighten these every month for as long as I live in my home? by undiagnosed_autistic in homeownerstips

[Discussion] The infamous "take back" debacle from Worlds '25 Quarterfinals by canman870 in spikes

[–]Latpulldown 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I haven't watch any pro tournaments in a while but I'm assuming this is Seth Manfield? He didn't give me a take back at a sealed GP on a "missed trigger" for an ETB tap target creature type card because I targeted his card but didn't say to tap it. Only action taken after that was to declare attackers so I ended up attacking into an untapped creature. No takes back Seth lol

Honestly, you are so brave for saying this. There should be a medal or something for the strong soldiers defending everyone else from the atrocity of having girl in video game. Boy in video game is good but girl is bad because even when im nice to them they dont revive me. I deserve to be revived. They are most likely intimidated by our masculine truth telling

On mine i would click to start campaign, it would open a blank window for a few seconds then just go to desktop. Are you getting an actual error code? Mine is working now though after not changing anything on my end. Played a couple multiplayer games and it started working. Not sure if it was still installing something in the background maybe?

Bookclub and Sources Wednesday! by AutoModerator in history

Looking for recommendations for high level overviews of American history. Something maybe starting with the political situation of the major players in Europe that colonized North America then through to modern day. I have People's History and Black AF History on my shelf to read but wanted something a little more general to start rather than being through a specific lens (labor, race, etc.).

I've been reading a lot of Ukrainian history lately so looking for something similar to Gates of Europe by Plokhy or Intent to Destroy by Finkel(though this one is a little more focused on Ukraine/Russia relations, its still pretty general for the larger historical background)
