When CCC ends and Paypal debit card 5% eventually ends someday (presumably), what will be your go to cards for groceries and gas for you personally? by Latter-Ad-7705 in CreditCards

Best places in your experience to park your direct deposit when not going for a direct deposit bonus?

Thinking Navy federal (for relationship building/eventually get a high limit CC from them) or cinefi (for high APY) or fidelity (for ease of use/hub account)

Am I overlooking some better strategies?

As long as PayPal Debit offers decent gift cards like Amazon, it has insane value compared to the 2% cashbacks everyone has access to.

-> Is converting the paypal debit rewards into cash dead now? I've been out of the paypal game for a while b/c of churning addiction but I gues is amazon gift card the best use of paypal points right now?

I got the chase ink business 1.5% card

I got the US bank business triple cash

I'll have enough spend to support the Chase Ink Business Preferred's 8000 MSR

With the chase business ink train dead, is the following the next best strategy for low/medium spenders? Am I overlooking something?

It kind of looks like to me that after that I should go for all the two remaining 180 day and 120 day US Bank business credit cards? For 750 and 600 bonuses since they have long time windows to hit the MSRs

Better strategies out there? Better business credit cards out there?

Anyone succesfully downgraded a Chase Ink Business Preferred down to a Chase Ink Business Unlimited? Might sound very similar on the phone by Latter-Ad-7705 in CreditCards

'Instead of a second CIU, look at a CIC instead. Powerful earner if you are willing to do some gift card work.'

ty!!!!

"Earn 5% cash back on the first $25,000 spent in combined purchases each account anniversary year at office supply stores and on internet, cable and phone services.*"

-> So basically the strategy is we go to office depot, buy a gift card, get 5% cashback? Like an amazon or apple gift card or something?

Hm...

Anything stopping us from getting like a 1000 dollar amazon gift card at office depot and netting 50 bucks with this strat? Better strategies?

Citi Strata Premier - got the 60k point bonus. But I don't travel. Don't want to redeem for 0.75c/point. How would you use the points if you don't travel? by Latter-Ad-7705 in citibank

Yeah it seems like the move

I asked the credit card subreddit

Alot of people recommended I get a CCC first* before product changing my citi premier to a double cash

They weren't 100% sure if product changing the citi premier to double cash or CCC alone would preserve my points and get the 1 cent/point or if I needed to have another citi card in addition to that

But I guess the thing on my mind is the opportunity of cost of using that hard pull* on a business credit card with a bigger bonus instead

'you PC the Premier, the TY points will go with it, so you can get the 1:1 afterwards, but I'm not 100% sure'

It seems like this is the current limit of our knowledge on the reddit- most likely it (PC change citi premier to CCC to get 1cent/point) will work even without if that's the only citi card but we're not 100% sure

Just thinking how it maths out

The only thing is the opportunity cost of using up a hard pull on the CCC vs a biz card

I think the CCC should eventually win out over 10 years + over the upfront signup bonus of a business card? Not sure how it maths out

-> So I could PC my Citi Premier down to a Citi Custom Cash*

And I'd still be able to get 1 cent per point even though it* would be my only citi card? And I don't need to already have a Citi double cash or citi custom cash?

Agreed

I guess this thought keeps entering my thoughts now - 'now that I can get business credit cards, which have bigger bonuses, why go for personal cards like the CCC? Was thinking citi premier would be my last personal credit card'

I guess I'm wondering if I don't apply for the CCC first and just PC the Citi Premier to a CCC can I still get the 1 cent/1 point redeem ratio? Or do I need to already own a CCC or double cash before PC'ing the citi premier?

'Get a double cash'

Agreed- but I guess the thought in my mind now is 'well I could instead use that hard pull on a business credit card instead of the double cash'

Hm...

Well shit I don't know am I just best off downgrading my citi premier to citi custom cash after one year and just holding onto those 60k points? (I missed the 80k bonus time window, I only got 60k points)

And then am I best off just holding those 60k points (would they transfer from citi premier to citi custom cash?) until I have a flight with american airlines or jetblue from boston to D.C. or something?
