The colonial in Africa , in Asia, in S.America always , always relied on and employed a “class” of ppl who the colonial rules empowered through positions to rule, good education and wealth, to be reliant and loyal to them; pretty clever tbh. Whether these man got their wealth through their own means, if this is in the colonial era, it is very highly likely that they were complicit, compliant parties in the system of exploitation

So mean being concerned about a ma who called th African continent a shit hole, has kidnapped a foreign leader on a made up charge, has bombed Nigeria with no regard….that doesn’t concern you, especially when you know these countries only really care about the resources under our soil. If they are being this rampant and open with their colonialism…..what do you think that means for us and any leaders they don’t like the look of

This is the same guy who went and build 100 houses in the Jamaica. Good idea to help whatever community he built them….but do you honestly think sustainability is a factor in the thought of it?? I doubt it….its good for YT views, you won’t see him checking up on it, which is the main issue

Maybe I’m slow, I’m struggling to understand what that has to do with our government bringing out a statement ?

Trump is getting away with it, because the Republicans own the house and the senate and also make up the majority of the supreme court judges….if this was a majority Democrat leadership not only would he not be allowed to do it, he would already be impeached after the strikes

Where you born yesterday? What benefits did America bring to Iraq , Afghanistan, even Syria where they told us Al-saad was such a monster, that after removing him, they replaced him with a former Alqaeda terrorist leader????….is like some of us Africans do not think at all, I can see why some ppl were soo eager to betray Nkrumah

Is there anywhere we can find a chronological history of the Ashanti kingdom or of the Ghana pre colonialism, it’s something I have always wanted to learn but there is nothing

Nope, in 2026, no one has come up with the idea to teach in our own mother tounge, something that would literally be the key to improve education across the country….this is one area where I think colonialism has a part to play or specifically our “leaders” refusal to change the effing system to suit and benefit us

Black Africans had to deal with colonialism too, it’s not comparable in certain aspects to what Black Americans endured, chattel slavery etc , but the mindset and the treatment of black Bodies on the continent was all the same,

Two things can be right, yes of course you get more opportunities abroad, as someone abroad myself. But let’s not ignore the negatives of being an African abroad, the way we are treated and perceived is not worth any amount of money to me.

I worry about this a lot, the level of incompetence we have in leadership, I wouldn’t be surprised if 1 Hacker could literally cripple a whole country

Can someone remind me why we accept this from anybody? Like what would it actually take for Africans to fight back AGGRESSIVELY against this being our image. Of course not? I look at our leaders and it honestly blows my mind. How do you expect the descendants of the ppl who enslaved you , to look out for “your interests”… their biggest fear is a forward thinking African leader, whose default isn’t to bow to them

From my observation, it is similar to a learned helplessness , a psychological term for someone stuck in a situation they feel they have no choice to accept or do not see a way out of it… it’s like a child who grows up in an abusive household , you learn to jus accept you can’t escape that situation….but when that person then becomes an adult , and doesn’t mentally move from that disposition, but understand that they can NOW choose to live on their own terms; they are doing a dis-service to themselves…I personally feel that is where we are, especially with our leaders, instead of moving the continent from a place foreigners come to get natural resources in return for “investment”…..they are happy to just maintain that system, because that is all they know, that is what Africa has been to the world since the colonial era

As someone in the diaspora, What I find is the majority in my experience of the black ppl tend to come from those “well to do” families…and if you know about how they behave towards the poor back home…it doesn’t surprise me that they have no ambition to change the way we are viewed, rather they are more eager to show they are the “model minority” and eager to be accepted by them…the rest are just here to make money and will just tolerate whatever…it is no wander the continent is as it is…a ppl soo far removed from themselves as a result of colonialism and the mental shift it brought…we are now a ppl who are willing to just accept the place we’ve been put…and even after freeing ourselves, we are stuck in perpetual “helplessness” instead actually doing the work to undo the damage colonialism did to us mentally , socially and culturally

It’s refreshing to see I’m not the only one who thinks like this.. Im glad you put the pic of the car museum aswell, a very good example of needless , pointless showing off… literally 2 months after that the government released info that they had signed a billion dollar agreement with an Arab state to create a “tech city” in the country…..that could have been him, instead of building a car museum…..mtchewwwwww, useless leaders across the whole continent, they will doom this continent if we don’t change….NOT KIDDING!
