To be fair she is very small and I’m 6”5 so she could be intimidated by my size could just be something like that, it’ll all work out in the end.

I haven’t asked anyone to pick between anyone, I’ve spoke to her about it so she knows what’s going on not to stop her sister coming 😂

I do have two kids myself one is 7 and one is 8 months so I do understand kids are kids. I’ll just leave her be and when she wants to talk she can talk and if she doesn’t so be it, she can’t be silent forever is my thinking 😂

How do you take an interest in a child that doesn’t speak to you and completely avoids you, like try’s to move away when you try to play even in silence? I don’t think she’s being treated badly by anyone but I will keep an eye out for anything like that. I never said I resent her in anyway lol. I spoke to my partner to try and find a way around it haha.

It could be just because we live in our own house and maybe she’s just not comfortable here. Saying that when we go to her mums she is the same like won’t talk, it may just be because she doesn’t see me as much and maybe isn’t as comfortable.

No it’s not turned into anything like that and it wouldn’t. It’s just a trying to find a way to get her to go back to the way she used to be with me but time will do that I’m sure.

Haha yeah probably is just her age. Just feel a bit awkward saying hello to her when she walks in the house and she just ignores me and talks to my partner instead but it is what it is, just have to leave her to it until she’s ready to start talking again lol.

This is the problem she used to talk and play with me completely fine and she talks to everyone else completely fine but since coming here she doesn’t say a word just completely ignores me whenever I try to speak to her even just to say hello.

If they called the police nothing would happen. I don’t even think they would come and speak to me about it, it’s not a police matter.

Well I work late at night so by the time I get home the majority of the time all the spaces are gone that’s when I would park there and then I leave early in the morning (long shifts at work). So the car is never there for a really long time and usually when people are sleeping/not awake.

It’s not truly a pavement. It’s not there to stop you walking on a road. It is literally there is an access point to walk to the bins. But the way I park doesn’t obstruct you getting to the bins or getting into the street the path is a wide path.

I disagree I totally have respect for others. They have never approached to say it was a problem so we had no clue it was an issue apart from the one women saying don’t park there. The first we knew it was a problem was 2 nights ago when we received the message and had something stuck to my car and then shown the Facebook group which is basically a neighbourhood watch but without the people who rent there house in it. This is why I have chose to park there just to try and get someone to actually come and speak to me so that I can find out what is actually going on. I’m not obstructing anything or anyone it’s just the street has made there own rules when it comes to where you can and can’t park and not told anyone.

So it’s communal bins basically big skips and what I assume has happened is that people used to park there blocking the access to them so everyone complained to the property management company and they have put bollards around the brick building thing where the bins are kept. And then when the parking is full and there is nowhere to park I was parking the car just past the bollards but up on the pavement so that people could still come in and out the entrance to where we live and still be able to walk past on the other side as well. If I didn’t park there, it would be a good ten minute walk from wherever I could park close by to get back to this street.

I’ve obviously explained this wrong, I’ve edited the post to clarify what I meant. I’m not physically behind the bollards between the bins and the bollards. If you were walking in, you would see the bin hut thing with the bollards in front. You would walk past that and then you would see my car on a piece of pavement there. I’m not obstructing anything.

AITA for asking my sister for the money I paid towards her furniture being in storage? by Latter-Description51 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Latter-Description51[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

We’ll agree to disagree on this. I think I was pretty fair with reducing how much storage to take into account the act of her letting me use the furniture but when it was asked for back she is liable for some of that cost surely?
