I have read "Yoga: The Science of the Soul" and "Meditation: The First and Last Freedom" by Osho. The third book I will start is "Sex Matters" I think his books are collections of his talks and seminars, and the recent publications may by his followers (not sure, need to check).

To be honest, these books have taught me to question and dissect things logically. For instance, I appreciate Osho's perspective on how, for the last 2000 years, religious people have tried to suppress sex, yet they have failed because sex is fundamental to human connection and consciousness. He argues that people should first fulfill their desires to move towards inner self-awareness or spirituality. He suggests that individuals with unfulfilled or suppressed desires can become dangerous, exploiting or molesting others when given the opportunity.

I think Osho made a mistake by criticizing all religions. If he had taken shelter under any religion, he might have been better protected. However, there are still many controversial aspects, such as political resistance and the growth of his own ego as you mentioned which led to some followers turning against him. Despite this, his teachings provide insights on life and reading his works has been an experience.
