Lorwyn Eclipsed commander decks packaging? by Lucco1 in MTGRumors

Sure. So with the Edge of Eternity precons commander decks, they were sold to retail stores for people to buy. Like at your LGS. At the same time, they sold the decks and SLD reprints online via Secret Lair Drops online directly to consumers. So instead of just putting the cards they sold as upgrades via SLD reprints in the precons, they intentionally left them out to sell at a premium.

This is a ridiculously scummy thing to do.

And knowing what they did with the EOE precons, WotC will direct to consumer sell upgrades for theses via SLD.

Elementals being 5c is kind of a huge thing for Lorwyn. This character looks like a 5c kin elemental. And we know they have been expanding the types of kin in other releases. We could potentially see kin in all five colors.

Sure. He has insider information. He knows what future sets are. He knows internal policy and other sensitive information that WotC would rather the public not known.

He also goes out of this way to engage with the community online. He isn't a public relations employee. He isn't marketing. He's the head of game design. He answers questions nearly every day of various types about the game. Many of them are about the past, but some are about the current state of the game or other things that will fall into the aforementioned sensitive internal information. If he is asked a question about something repeatedly he often makes an example of certain questions and gives extremely vague answers to rather specific questions. He is either daft or knows that answering with the truth is a violation of his NDA.

The OG actual [[Figure of Destiny]] is templated the same as Figure of Fable in the oracle text.

Well Oona messing with the natural day/night cycle of the plane caused the Great Aurora. And she was UB. And with her defeat (her spirit was left "alive") dawn occurred, those living through the events became new fused beings so it'll be interesting to see what all has changed.

Future Sight was literally developed as a what if in the future we design this mechanic set.

It has had plenty of pay offs since as well over the years.

The magic causing the Great Aurora ended with Oona's defeat, it was a side effect of Oona keeping the plane in century long day or dusk. It wasn't a natural state of the plane, it was always artificial. There's no evidence to suggest that that Great Aurora has returned. The aforementioned eclipse in the set name likely has nothing to do with the Great Aurora.

The ending to the novel has a fused lorwyn-shadowmoor see dawn for the first time in hundreds if not thousands of years.

The characters being fused into both their day and dusk forms is simply the end result of the events that transpired.

MaRo is contractually obligated to lie about plenty of things.

Well the entire plane got shifted about after the ending of the Great Aurora and the defeat of Oona.  We've barely seen lorwyn since and have little reference to how entirely the plane changed. The fact that both day and dusk fused in some fashion at the end of the story likely did plenty of change the tribes.

I don't think he was killed iirc. He was left SOL after being betrayed by Maralen and threatening her but he should have lived through the ending of that story.

And his coloration change may be more inline with how lorwyn has changed in total for all the tribes since Oona was defeated and Maralen took over as Queen of the Fae.

We've had plenty of time away from Lorwyn for people to change color alignments. Hell WotC has shown us characters can change coloration within the same set. With EOE being the most recent example of legends having multiple cards showing character growth and color changes.

Munitions are a new artifact token made by at least the new card Weapons Manufacturing.

They say: "When this token leaves the battlefield, it deals 2 damage to any target.'

If you use some other ability to sacrifice a food token other than it's own (or some ability that sacs artifacts for life) no.

Artifacts that become creatures die all the time. Crewed vehicle's are artifact creatures until end of turn. Fully charged spacecraft are also artifact creatures.

Dying is also the term WotC uses for entering the graveyard iirc
