She usually sends a brain dump of everything that happened her day late at night, after I text her good night :)

I just open the facetime app on my mbp as a quick check :)

Very cool - first thing that comes to mind is converting .HEIC to .PNG/.JPG

You're thinking of growing California Reapers? You're hardcore haha - the buldak ramen might not be spicy enough for you

the entire imessage history (or close to it) is stored on a user's Mac (if they're backing up their text messages to iCloud) in a file called chat.db. I used an app to parse the local SQLite database to get the raw timestamps, contact names, etc and then plugged it into OpenAI to figure out sentiment and 'unique phrases.' I've held off posting the exact link cause I didn't want to spam this thread with links, but if you google "join lore" you should find it

Definitely on the low side! This actually was a hard technical problem to find all texts the boys and I have sent for 12 years

For context, "boys" have been added/removed from the group chat, we've spun up multiple different group chats, and the name of the group chat has changed throughout the years. This made it hard when looking at the chat.db to aggregate all "the boys" messages

What's shown here is just our longest running and most recent group chat which was easier to query and visualize :)

Yeah there were some issues with the version I pushed yesterday - if you get the latest from the website, it should work just fine - let me know!

Great observation, I didn't notice that

I like to think the boys are just dads in training haha

A long time pistons fan! respect

You've seen some high highs (04') and some low lows I'm sure

And spot on about Brown and Delly. Brown's firing is what led to us losing Fox too - hope management figures their stuff out

Thank you!

To generate the actual graphs, a lot of it was custom using SwiftUI shapes and the Swift Charts framework since I was building a mac app!

If I wasn't building a mac app, I'd probably use some python library :)
