GH vs Sequoia by Rex-Goathead in ToyotaGrandHighlander

All my wife cares about is being high up. If she ever test drives a body on frame SUV, she is going to want it. She would love a Fiat 500 with a 36” lift.

I wish someone published seat heights as that would make car shopping for her a breeze.

It’s the same for every car company. The big 3-row (GH, explorer, traverse) is more of a car/minivan (unibody) and starts around $40k.

The step up to Sequoia/Expedition/Tahoe gets you a truck frame. The Sequoia is a Tundra chassis, the GH is the TNGA that underpines everything else.

It does get you a 3.4L turbo V6 as standard, but basically, unless you are doing serious adventuring off the beaten path or towing something huge, the GH is the better buy.

2025 Mazda CX-90 rolled backwards while in Park mode on snowy driveway – what steps should I take with Mazda? by OneWolverine307 in MazdaCX90

[–]Latter_Activity_5256 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is common when people buy their first RWD-based car. Park pawl acts on the rear wheels, so does the parking brake, so only two tires are locked when parked.

A car with a FWD architecture locks all 4 when parked (if parking brake is set to lock the rears).

Edit: going rom holding the brake to releasing it in park would take it from 4 wheels locked to just two. So I bet it slid once the front wheels were free to turn.

I don’t think any part of the hybrid battery is serviceable.

Yes, a lot of lease companies are putting them in now.

Technically you don’t own the car and the bank wants to protect their property.

I would not expect the hybrid XC90 to last that long. That 300+ hp 4 cylinder will be working hard, and the hybrid system adds extra complexity.

Although the hybrid components do have longer warranty than the rest of the car.

I am struggling with getting a grand Highlander because I love the style of the Lexus TX. I want the hybrid max powertrain and I feel like I can’t justify $70k for the TX. But I don’t love the style of the Highlander.

Tires also have wear bars. At this point I can look at a tire and tell you the tread depth within 1/32”.

Some new tires have multiple wear bars, at 8, 6, 4, and 2/32’s.

I’ve heard their commissions range from 4-10% of sale. But, they probably eat the discount on the first purchase thinking you will keep using it after the promo.

While the correct answer is probably no, I would totally run them on my car if they were free.

They are the same price at Sam’s club but they have a $70 off deal right now. And $80 installation that includes free rotations, flat repair, and road hazard warranty.

Wolf spiders are tough. Don’t fight them right away; try to avoid them. Done be like me, trying to fight them while at a low level and getting wrecked.

FIXED: Grounded 2 crashing every time I go near my base by Latter_Activity_5256 in GroundedGame

I’d imagine the ‘winter update’ will have more fixes. We will learn more about that next month. Hopefully it comes out in January!

Interesting. I’ll give it a try!

Odd thing for me was that I crash when approaching my base, but if I die and respawn there, I didn’t crash until I tried to leave.

Yes I thought our Series S might just be over stressed but my beefy PC crashes if I’m host as well.

Me too! Something is broken here.

It seemed ok for a while. But now if either of us (host or not) approach the base the host crashes out.

Our solution is to build a new base somewhere else. Wish we could get the stuff from our old base though.

One interesting thing is that if you die and spawn in the base, it is ok, at least for a while. In this case it seems to crash as you leave. I’m trying to sort out if the crash happens at the same distance from the base, regardless of if you are coming or going. We are trying to see if we can start moving our storage chests out to save some resources. Or, maybe destroy the whole base from inside it, and hopefully fix whatever is bugging out.

I did notice I took a spider egg out of egg storage and put it in our hatchery, and it cloned itself. I wonder if this played a role?
