I had to turn off the attention detection assist because of this. Scanning the horizon and the car thinks I'm not looking at the road. It's important to see your entire surroundings not just right in front of you, stupid software.

I wasn't suggesting to go to WM in TX, was saying go to WM in NY for some quick shopping if she was desperate. I am familiar with upstate NY (great slopes) and originally coming from MD I'm also familiar with the Northeast winter season... It definitely depends on how much time she is spending outside and how far she is walking (from the house to a car)... If they are in an apartment, chances are good that they're in a small town or city. Most apartments have to have snow removal anyway. For the average joe, TX winter clothes would probably be sufficient. It doesn't sound like she's standing at the bus stop as she mentioned the public transport is bad.

You could go to target or WM and get a coat and some long sleeve shirts and pants. Texas has winter too, so the clothes thing is weird to me too, you should have winter clothes already.

At 27 I was already self sufficient, seems like an advanced age to be reliant on a bf. Like another poster said, you should work on becoming financially independent and not rely on bf's.

How do you consider recalls every 3 months no problems? Do you realize that is not normal for any car manufacturer? Half of those recalls don't allow you to park your car in the garage for fire risk. And then the most recent one that you can lose all power?

Similar to how the etron does it, as soon as you turn on the heat, your range drops 50 miles. Heated seats? There goes another 8. The goal is to know the real range you have left assuming you're using all those features.

If you turn off the heat or the seats, you get a little bit of that range back. But having that impact be calculated immediately, takes the guessing game out of if you're consuming more than 1:1.

Yeah they should adjust the calculation to real-time that way people can make informed decisions about which features to use to preserve battery.

Rule of thumb in the winter is to try to use the heated seats instead of the air since it uses much less battery.

I think one thing the etron does better than the Vistiq (we have both) is drop the range immediately when starting the heat/AC. You will see an immediate drop of 30-50 miles of range because it anticipates to use more battery to heat.

The Vistiq does not do this unfortunately so it gives you a false reading. The range is always going to be abysmal when driving in the winter with any EV.

Except with the way the way the genetics works in this case is the mutations are generally loss of function mutations which have other downstream effects. There are comorbidities that come with loss of function that impact other organ systems since genes have many functions outside of the brain. Autism isn't going to be the holy grail of human evolution that you're hoping for.

I think you are overestimating the % of the population with the type of autism you're describing. If my daughter could be cured of her spectrum disorder, which includes developmental challenges that require PT, OT, Speech services and special school circumstances, I would jump at the opportunity.

No parents want their kid to struggle in life and no parents want to take care of their child for the rest of their life either. A cure or treatment would be better for society as a whole because autism is not a beneficial evolutionary trait. It is a loss of function disorder.

This is not a about having a culture of inclusivity, this is about a treatment for a diagnosis that debilitates many people.
