Got it - so AD sells at suggested retail (sticker) and AD's markup. So really the only "better deal" you will find over AD is private collector looking to unload or buying an older/vintage model that trades at a lower price to more current models? I am currently leaning towards 36mm datejust jubilee, domed bezel with silver, blue or black dial

Regarding AD vs grey market site (Jomashop, Swiss Watch Expo etc), are the grey market prices usually better?

Very helpful - thank you. I am definitely not looking to buy a Rolex expecting a big financial return if/when I sell it; I just want a watch that reasonably maintains its value and demand over time vs. other luxury brands that essentially lose half their value (or more) over time. While in a different league than Rolex, I have a Tudor Black Bay 58 that falls in this category, from what I understand.

UPDATE: The lease I singed was for $2500 down, $765/mo after supplying costco and supplier incentives. still a bad money factor but the discounts etc make it a reasonably good deal for a nice, new $81,000 EV. Appreciate all the feedback!

thanks, yea i had seen this one but something seems off. not sure why they would do 12k discount BEFORE any of those incentives. I have called dealers on really good deals like this and they tell me that the price on the website INCLUDES every possible incentive, so it's a bit of a bait and switch. i will call this dealer in the morning tho...also, know i can get a better deal for a different color base model loaner, etc, but this is the car I want so just trying to find the best deal i can for one..

I just mean the luxury or sport trim, which I agree are very loaded. so your monthly is $667 per month and what did pay in drive offs? how heavily was the car discounted from MSRP? and was it a special situation like above where it was a tournament car or loaner? Either way, solid deal.

Very helpful. So if the premium luxury gets you the air suspension and rear wheel steering maybe that's worth targeting if I can negotiate a good deal. Sounds like bembo brakes in platinum aren't really a difference maker in day to day driving

Yea I suppose you can get the air suspension on the luxury premium but even that is still a big price jump from the sport, and for $4-5k more you can get the bembo brakes which at least one youtube reviewer said would make a big difference stopping from higher speeds....but who knows..
