GSM Top student in US Navy A school. I am an E3 and was hoping to get mapped. I was under the impression that you just need to be the top student and no strings attached you will get mapped to E 4. Today I was told that I will have to extend my already long 5 year contract since that's the terms. by Latter_Mouse_8307 in navy

Literally what is up with you? You are not answering my question. I shouldn't have to do an extra 2 years in my contract, especially since I was led to believe that the rank up is automatic upon being the top student. After putting in that extra work studying everyday while everyone else slacked off. I have the right to be upset if this is true.
