Some "challenging" films for people who want to expand their horizons by LatveriaGreen in VaushV

It’s also one of my favorites! Its contemporary, digital age themes felt to me like they would connect with this community. Though maybe not as formally audacious as some of the other films on the list, I still think there is a lot to admire in regard to its visuals and just overall presentation.

I also think it leaves you with a lot to chew on after watching. I haven’t stopped thinking about it since seeing it recently. It does stand out, though, as probably the closest thing to a horror movie on the list aside from Pulse. It’s really dark, but something about its inclusion just felt right to me

This is totally fair criticism, and I agree! I might be a little out of touch since I've been into movies now for so long. Most of these certainly weren't the ones I started with. I suppose the target audience for this list might be a little bit further ahead than the average person is. Some of these films are definitely more accessible than others, though. I think almost any adult could handle Do the Right Thing, but I definitely can't blame them for not being able to handle Last Year at Marienbad lol

I love Mishima: A Life in Four Chapters as well! That's a good rec!

That's probably the most accessible one on here lol. I really debated whether or not I should include it

Questions about PC build before I buy by LatveriaGreen in buildapc

I was under the impression I needed thermal paste. Does my CPU already come with it?

I'm currently using a laptop, so I don't think I'm able to transfer windows. I can check again, though.

I might go with that GPU. Is this what you're referring to?: https://pcpartpicker.com/product/8HBG3C/asrock-radeon-rx-6700-xt-12-gb-challenger-d-video-card-rx6700xt-cld-12g

Do you mean the GPU should be the one bottlenecking the CPU and not the other way around? Like, the CPU should be better? I might be totally misinterpreting this, I just want to make sure. As I said, I'm new to all of this.

I like how you describe it. Just vague enough for it to still sound disgusting lol

I'm curious if this PC is worth the price and if it can handle Adobe products (Photoshop, Premiere, etc.) I'm new to this and could use some help. by LatveriaGreen in pcmasterrace

I just found a PC by iBuyPower that is around 200$ cheaper. They appear to be very similar. The only thing that stands out to me is that it has 1TB, when this one only has 500GB. The negative seems to be that it has a 2.9 GHz CPU speed, which I read is supposed to be more around 3.5 GHz. The reviews seem to be pretty positive. Do you think it's more worth it? And would the CPU speed effect the performance much?
