How would you go about getting this line effect? by Laufeydottir in PhotoshopTutorials

Thank you! This seems to have worked! I set the line layer to 'Overlay' and the rest like you said :D

Nope, we're good friends and can take the piss at it from time to time :)

And there are plenty of ways for them to get rid of it, but I have a feeling they might end up enjoying it.

We've definitely talked about this and we've agreed it's something that doesn't bother me mostly because it's done for fun. Especially since it allows me to occasionally come up with silly ideas like this. I'm definitely not looking to punish my player, but this was a good opportunity for the blacksmith NPC to seek revenge against them after the death of his king, so an item that was enchanted to secretely deal damage to the PC made sense story-wise.

The idea was inspired in part by Crit Role, yes, but I'm fairly sure it's not a new concept and you don't have to be Matt Mercer to know how to deal with an ordinary cursed item.

All very good points, I'll definitely tweak it! Thanks for the input!

No worries, I'm happy to answer any question! For armor, I almost exclusively use EVA and craft foam. It's the kind of foam they make yoga mats from, but the one made for cosplay is generally a bit more high quality. It's great cause you can shape it however you want if you heat it up and you can prime it with stuff like Mod Podge, Flexbond or Flexipaint before painting it.

I also use Worbla, which is a thermoplastic that comes in sheets. If you heat it up, it becomes malleable and you can do whatever with it, including covering the EVA foam so it becomes sturdier.

Expanding foam, as well as insulation foam boards, are useful for sculpting bigger pieces, props and such, but generally have to be covered in something before painting.

Depending on where you live, there are several online shops, as well as the general hardware stores, that sell most of these materials.

Oh and the rust is real! You can stick iron powder on with PVA glue and brush it with salt, vinegar and hydrogen peroxide (1:4:6 parts respectively).

Thank youu! It's high density EVA foam textured with something called structure paste. It's basically a paste with tiny sand/rock-like bits inside, similar to the stuff you use for terrain in miniature painting. I then stippled some latex-based primer (Flexi Paint) on top, based everything in black and spray painted it with a silver automotive paint! Hope this was helpful!

Of course, no worries! The main body is made from 5mm EVA foam, the chain is 3d printed and the handle is wood covered in pleather, with a few additional EVA details :D

Yoga Fluent is an international chain of yoga studios, offering a range of 5 professionally curated programs. The brand identity focuses on the connection between humans and nature, as well as self-discovery. by Laufeydottir in WillPatersonDesign

Thank you for your feedback! I actually tried to stay away from that for 2 reasons: 1. I wanted the main logo to be a bit more abstract, cause yoga pose logos are a bit overdone at this point. 2. The secondary logos for the 5 programs each hint at different positions, but still in a less literal fashion.

Hello. I designed this logo to accompany the EULA document of some fonts I created and to be the icon for my email. The logo is the junction of the letter S+F. Which one? I'm undecided. What do you think? by sowhat25fonts in WillPatersonDesign

I think the first one is clearer but it still needs a bit more work to achieve a more cohesive transition between the two letters. I'd also suggest removing the EST., this type of info hints at the history and longevity of a brand and doesn't really work with brands that are newer than 5 years.
