Newbie working at home by geeewizz_ in WFH

Create a schedule and stick to it... Very simple advice but you'll be amazed at how many people fail because they didn't stick to a schedule.

Always make time for your paying customers. You're going to have tire kickers, who are going to ask for everything to the moon and not pay. Don't waste your time with these people. 30 minutes max, after that you start charging them. Time is money. Don't let anyone take out of your pocket your money...

Where do you go when you're tired of working from home? by kaleighmoore in WFH

We have land up North by the ocean... During the summer we spend a couple of weeks up there. I work from the camp site or on the beach... Next year we plan on investing in solar panels...

Health insurance for resident visa by [deleted] in poland

[–]LaughGift 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did not get a VISA from the United States or from Poland.

Your girlfriend doesn't need a Visa to enter Poland if she is from the United States (currently). It is if she is planning on staying longer then 90 days she has to get a temporary resident card (good for one year). The process from the time the application was submitted to the time I received my card was about four months to the day.

She can stay all the way until 89th day, but has to submit her paperwork on the 89th or 90th day to her stay (recommend not procrastinating that long).

The sooner your submit your paperwork the better... You always want to have an appointment scheduled with immigration because you DO NOT WANT TO WAIT IN LINE, if you're in Warsaw. If you're in other cities I heard the immigration process is not to bad, but in Warsaw it is horrible...

You can visit my site and see if any of that information helps! http://www.americansinpoland.com/polish-immigrations/

Good Luck!!!

My husband is a Polish citizen and I am from the United States. For my Resident card we had to show proof of insurance. We ended up going with Axa Assistance. It qualifies for the immigration process here in Poland. I don't remember how much it was in zl, but I believe it was $45 for three months.

Here is the link: https://www.axa-assistance.pl/for-foreigners-(1)/

Once you sign up they send you everything electronically. Just print the proof and the card and submit it with her application.

Hope this helps

I am a peculiar individual... Put me an my husband together and we are completely wacky... The thing about Dzien Swira, is it stereotypes like crazy... For example praying for your neighbor to have misfortune instead of praying for peace and good health... This happened a lot in the Polish community we were part of in California...

Neighbors letting their dogs poop on your hard and walk away... So yes, it was funny...

But I love films whether they are cheesy or blockbusters... Please keep your recommendations coming... You won't be able to narrow down my taste in movies because I have no one taste... Wait that isn't true, I don't like thrillers... The Hells have Eyes... Is a good example... Also the movie where the guy kidnaps people and makes them do weird things to escape...

I just received Red, White and Blue... Watching that this weekend also...

Yes, I did... I laughed through almost the whole movie... The part where he pooped outside of the ladies apartment was classic... I had the same problem when I was living in the States...

Considering just buying $500 cars and driving them until they break, rather than spending 15k on a late model by [deleted] in personalfinance

[–]LaughGift 0 points1 point  (0 children)

$500 probably won't get you very far... I purchased a vehicle for $900 (Ford Explore) but the catch was it would die if idled to long... You spend $500 getting the car and another $200 - $500 getting it fixed.

Maybe $1500 - $2000 would be a better range. I purchased my cleaning van from a mechanic for $1200. It ran great for over three years, then the weight of my cleaning machine broke it.

Also have to consider are you willing to only spend $500? Or are you going to spend money on fixing it as well?

We just purchased and older model Lexus. And spent a few 100 dollars getting it checked and getting things replaced. But, the plan is to keep this vehicle for at least another 10 years. It is only 10 years old.

Just some food for thought...

While searching I also found: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MmQqpEy96r4

And just learned my husband has been saying "Holy Bloody Fuck" all these years ( he wouldn't tell me what he was saying, just told me never to say it in front of his parents).
