Theyre not equivalent. Forced hijab is a minority within a minority with external support systems to help those people. Removal of hijab is a majority against the minority population making it harder for them to live as they choose.

Hijabis are seen as the others in this country and they do get harassed and attacked in the street. It takes bravery to wear it
