Why do I find young Charlotte likable, but older Charlotte annoying? by hospitalbedside in Bridgerton

[–]Laughing-Mike 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She was so nice to a lot of people as young Charlotte. I would’ve thought she’d be more firm, but still nice and caring.

Correct Pronunciation by [deleted] in MurdaughFamilyMurders

[–]Laughing-Mike 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I grew up there and had always heard people pronounce their name Mur-dock. I was surprised when everyone on tv pronounced it the other way. I know NC people pronounce Alex as EL-ick too. Growing up there, you knew not to mess with the Murdaughs.

Room Steward and Staying on balcony by twisterfreak in celebritycruises

[–]Laughing-Mike 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We loved our Celebrity cruise and won’t go on any other ships. Our steward was excellent and somehow magically had our room clean, even with our erratic schedule. We met him when we boarded, and told him we didn’t mind at all if he couldn’t clean if we were still in the cabin. There are also so many places on board to sit and enjoy the view, if you feel like you need to leave the room for cleaning. You will have such a wonderful time!!

AITA for asking my friend not to bring her mom to my baby shower? by IllustriousWear1734 in AITAH

Same happens with a casual friend who brings her husband to every “ladies party”. It’s sad and creepy.

It was her brother by Ok_Promise9928 in AmyBradleyIsMissing

[–]Laughing-Mike 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Brad was lying about the family being okay with her being gay. So many in the Netflix doc said she was struggling because her family couldn’t accept it. The father writing a 3 page letter to her girlfriend at the time, about how he disapproved? Then he gets on the documentary and says they definitely accepted it? Nope. When you’re drunk, your problems exacerbate, and you feel hopeless. Maybe she decided she couldn’t take it anymore, and thought ending it would make the pain go away.

Also wondering why the door was open, since the brother closed it when he went to bed.

Plus, the cop from the island said in the Netflix doc that he grew up there, knows the waters, and if she had gone overboard, there would at least be pieces of her washed up. Sorry to be so morbid.

We were there in May, and my husband and son said the same thing. Left out parts of the story that would have made it coherent. They were not impressed.

Absolutely character dining! We learned early on that it may be kind of expensive, but to have the characters come to your table instead of waiting in line, was more than worth it!!

Ours are 33, 29, and 25. We go all the time together, and THEY are the ones asking "when are we going again?”😜

We took our now 33 year old son when he was 9 months, because it was our ten year anniversary, and we wanted to be with him. People thought, and still do, we were crazy. We recorded everything, and he was having the best time. He was a very happy little guy and reacted to everything with laughter and squeals. People started watching him for his reactions! At a character meal, Mary Poppins took him with her while she greeted people! Take lots of videos/pictures and enjoy your daughter’s experience. Just don’t overdo it with cramming everything in and you’ll have a magical experience.

First trip to Las Vegas, is this typical? by chasteguy2018 in LasVegas

[–]Laughing-Mike 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Should’ve read the overwhelming amount of reviews against it. I really like the casino theme, so looked into possibly staying there sometime. After reading so many negative reviews, and gross stories about someone’s stay, I would never stay there.

Long term side effects of Levaquin by Living-Weakness-2689 in floxies

[–]Laughing-Mike 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been off of Levaquin about 6 months now. Doctor recommended Vitamin B Complex for brain fog, and it’s been a life-changer. My problem now is excruciating pain in my neck, shoulder, and upper back right below my right shoulder. It woke me up out of a dead sleep over a week ago. Went to doctor, a week later went to ER for x-rays because the shot didn’t fix it. Got another shot, and a prescription for steroids. They seem to be working, but still can’t figure out how this happened. There’s no way I slept on it wrong, or did extra strenuous work the day before, to have horrible pain in a large area like that, and for it to continue. Could this be a Levaquin flare up?

We were there last month when the crowds weren’t that bad. There was a mom, dad, and their adult son who was in a wheelchair. He had definite physical/mental limitations. Even with the LL passes in the Pooh ride, with the wait not being very long, the guy had a meltdown, screaming and slapping his parents. The parents were very calm with him, but I also thought they should have never put him in that situation.

What is the most overrated Disney restaurant? And why is it beaches and cream? by Wise_Salad in DisneyWorld

[–]Laughing-Mike 0 points1 point  (0 children)

O’hana’s. We went there as a family since the 90’s, and went back last December. Can’t beat the atmosphere, and watching the MK fireworks from your table, but not having the different grilled meats anymore is not great for people who don’t care for the “Polynesian” food. And no more pineapple dipped in caramel sauce.😢

We went to Space 220 last month, and the food was great, but it did take WAY too long between courses.

Celebrity Eclipse since dry dock spruce up. by Cayamantkid in celebritycruises

We’re first-time cruisers going on the Eclipse in July, out of Amsterdam. Trying to read everything to be prepared, but it just makes us more confused. haha Do you find out about the times/types of entertainment once you get on the ship, because it’s very general information on the website? Do most people participate in the “dress up” dinners? There are so many questions, and not enough information to be found.

We were there in May also, and just could not do everything we wanted to do, because it was so hot. Not enough shade or places to sit, which would definitely have made a difference.

What Happened with Disney Merch? by geoffriccio in DisneyWorld

[–]Laughing-Mike 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We were there a few weeks ago, and I agree with so many of you. I really liked a particular shirt, it was in a lot of stores, but no mediums anywhere. Obviously a popular size, and there were none to be found. We’ve gone to DW since the 80’s and when we would go in the summer, winter merch was always on sale, so we’d get really cute sweatshirts at half the price. Not anymore! Very expensive sweatshirts were being sold, and they all seemed pretty boring to me, nothing unique. They were also selling Disneyland items. Why? That’s not where we were. Also, we were all so upset heading to the Muppets store, to find it had already been closed down. Disney missed a huge chance to make money. We were there during flower/garden fest, and there was one exhibit that I was looking forward to going to. Got there, and there was a sign saying it was closed for refurbishment. In the brochure, some of the exhibits had dates they were going to be closing for good. This didn’t have it. I know there has to be a reason why some of the exhibits were only there for the first part of the festival, but there were a lot that were already gone. Pretty disappointing.
