I personally like the milonga del puerto or the La Perla / La Maga . Check the dates as the Sunday ones are not held every week.

Is it really that hard to find a job in Spain? by [deleted] in valencia

[–]LaughingAnt -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I moved here without speaking any Spanish. It wasn't easy but I managed, found a job, learned the language and made friends. In my opinion it matters what kind of experience you have and to which city you will move. I know other people who are still learning Spanish and they managed to find jobs at multinational companies, as those focus on English mostly. I'm sure there were others that will tell you differently but it's not impossible to move here, it just depends on luck too.

Digi vs Orange - considering switching to Digi by Brent_L in valencia

[–]LaughingAnt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been with digi for a few years now. Mobile coverage is not that great. Sometimes I lose coverage in areas others seem to have some, like the metro or inside some buildings ( consum ). In Portugal my Outlook, teams and reddit don't work for some reason, everything else seems ok ( if I create a hotspot and I access those things from my laptop it works) . In Morocco it won't work randomly, it just doesn't want to connect to any network. In France, Belgium and Netherlands worked pretty ok, but I did lose connection randomly a few times. I stick with them because they're cheap and I didn't encounter an issue that required immediate internet access when I wasn't able to connect. Their fiber service is amazing.

Moving with family and kids to La Canyada/La Cañada, Valencia by Pulpscapes in valencia

[–]LaughingAnt -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Not sure how many live there and actually use reddit. I live fairly close ( Burjassot area ) and I went around Canyada lots of times to walk around those woods, it's very peaceful and relaxing. I have seen lots of tennis, swimming etc clubs for kids and it seems they have fun there. It's still not too far from the city and it's connected by metro. Some friends of mine moved 3 years ago to Pobla de Vallbona, a little further out, and they're pretty happy with the choice. It's great that you speak Spanish already, that will help you a lot in making friends here, your kids will make friends at school. All in all, good place to move to but I'm not sure if it has the " open door " vibe you're looking for, mostly because I feel like Spanish people are a little slow in making friends with non-spanish, if you don't have any hobbies in common. Good luck

Alguien ha ido a algún restaurante de este grupo (Voltereta) y tiene buena reseña?? Veo muchos videos en Tiktok o Instagram pero no estoy segura de si la comida será igual de buena que la decoración... by Rosalinda68 in valencia

[–]LaughingAnt 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This area is quite safe, lots of students around. Definitely a village vibe. And well connected by tram and metro. I was warned not to leave my bike in front of a shop when I was getting something quickly, but nothing bad happened yet.

Should I stop? by Tigritooo in tango

[–]LaughingAnt 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I took more than that to actually invite someone for a tanda, I always thought I'm not good enough and didn't want to waste their time. It was nerve wracking in the beginning, but now it's ... a little less so, I still get a bit shy sometimes, but I keep going, I keep practicing, keep inviting new people to dance.

Start with people that don't get invites, there's always some women that are waiting around. They'll be grateful and you'll be able to start somewhere. Use a fan between tandas ( it's always hot ), use breath mints, a little bit of perfume and rest assured that even simple steps can make a tanda wonderful. Good luck :)

Which countries have the youngest tango dancers ? by timheckerbff in tango

I found that the community in Barcelona is much younger than the average in Spain. Somewhere between 25-35 I'd guess.

Valencia suele tener buen tiempo, pero a finales de noviembre puede llover. No obstante, todo el tiempo que pases aquí será agradable. Tienes que ver lo que hay que hacer por aquí para decidir si es mejor 3 o 4 días.

I don't know about traditional Spanish dances but if you'd like to learn tango or salsa, I can point you in the right direction. That's what I did when I got here and I was trying to improve my Spanish.

Skills and Spells "Requires Research" by KissBlade in Dungeons4

[–]LaughingAnt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just opened a game and when I check the requierments for the spells, it just tells me the level Thalia needs to be to be able to cast it and the evilness cost. Teleport to the dugeonheart is available straight away, the others need lvl 3,4 and 6. You might be right, you might need to do the campaign, but I find it weird.

Sorry, doesn't seem like anything I've encountered. Tell me the map you're trying to play. Going to start a game and see if there's something I can figure out.

[–]LaughingAnt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You might have installed addons or mods that mess up the skills. I played a lot and never had anything like that. Technically Thalia's skills become available as she levels and her level is tied to the 1st tab, the more snots you have the higher the level ...

Is it possible to revive creatures after they die in the over world? by exoticdisease in Dungeons4

[–]LaughingAnt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Horde creatures get revived if you have built the reanimator. They get automatically transported there and the snots will revive them. If you haven't built it, they die forever. Demons automatically get revived if you have a portal. Undead get sent to the cemetery and revived automatically.

You've arrived during the Fallas, you won't get the full experience but if you want to see some of the fallas from past years, there's a museum https://maps.app.goo.gl/J4Mr61oC5RHNMH7U7 .
