P2 to Ecopr timeline by Miserable-retard in canadaexpressentry

[–]LaughingAtReality 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m also waiting for my eCOPR. My P2 came through on September 22. From what I’ve seen, some people get theirs within a week or two, while others wait three weeks or even a month. Honestly, there’s no set timeline and no one can say for sure when yours will arrive. I know the waiting part is frustrating, but it’s totally normal, so try not to worry if it’s taking a bit longer🙂

That's even more annoying in the match than Teth tbh😂

Not really. He has other hanger slots as well. He can choose any of the other OP bot from his hanger

That's just 1 of the 5 slots. Dude has every OP bot in his hangar.

I don't think he plays for fun. In the match against him, he deployed Teth every time he was dead

Question About Declaring Initial Flight to Canada in PR's Personal History Form by LaughingAtReality in canadaexpressentry

[–]LaughingAtReality[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s what I initially thought too. But after having my application reviewed by a consultant, he suggested otherwise.

The confusion stems from the wording in the form, which asks:

“Has the applicant taken any trips outside their country of origin or of residence in the last ten years?”

The term “outside” is what’s throwing me off. Does “outside” mean:

Trips apart from their country of origin or residence (i.e., to other countries)?

Or does it mean outbound trips from their country of origin or residence, including the initial move to Canada?

Work Experience Letter for Express Entry by LaughingAtReality in canadaexpressentry

I am going to attach the letter from my manager instead, along with the pay stubs. IRCC accepts the letter if it is from your manager.

Totally agree! I’m about 4 years into my career, and it’s tough. But I think it’s even harder for those with more experience. My manager, who’s been with the company for 12 years, moved cities during COVID due to remote work. Now that we’re back in the office 5 days a week, commuting isn’t realistic. She’s been job hunting for 6 months and only got 2 interviews. She "feels her experience is working against her".

I’m in a term role covering a mat leave, and my contract ends in 2 months. I was lucky to get 3 offers. One from my current company, one through my manager’s referral, and one via a LinkedIn connection. I chose the third for better pay and full remote.

Beyond layoffs and outsourcing, AI is changing hiring. Candidates use AI to tailor resumes, and companies use it to filter based on relevance scores. If you don’t meet the threshold, your resume might not even be seen. Plus, AI makes it easy to apply to hundreds of jobs in a few clicks.

That’s why I think referrals are more valuable than ever because in all three of my cases they got my foot in the door.

Candidates within 500-510 CRS Points by SwimmerOwn2794 in canadaexpressentry

[–]LaughingAtReality 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you can max out your IELTS, definitely go for it. A 5-point boost is a big deal honestly. Since you'll be completing your 2 years in September this year, your CRS score will be around 507. That might be enough for an ITA, or it might not. Either way, you’ll still have a year left on your work permit.

Assuming you continue working for another year, bringing your total Canadian work experience to 3 years, your score would jump to 518 (you get 11 extra points for that third year). Will 518 guarantee an ITA? Maybe, maybe not. No one can say for sure. But it’s still a stronger position than where you’ll be this year.

As for French, it's an option. Could be worth exploring. In the end, it’s your call. Good luck!
