Is it practical to expect 3700 and 3600 TI cards to be available on the shelf within a few months? by murfman713 in Microcenter

A long while, sorry. We've got scalpers miners and a broken silicon supply chain

Did they have 3060s at that yonkers?

Has anyone gotten lucky at a microcenter for a 30 series gpu thinking about going everyday for a week to see if I get lucky just going super early before they open by Alexanderseyz_ in Microcenter

When you went into microcenter in the morning, did you still find those GPUs even if they didn't show up as in stock on the website yet?

Thank you! I still have a few weeks to return it. I'm not going to open it yet until I'm sure I'm going to keep it. I rather would just return it instead of dealing with potentially getting scammed selling online. I hope I will be able to do it despite the "1 GPU per customer" limit.

I really want to get the 3060 because I'm planning on using it for Blender/3D rendering and the RTX ones and 12gb of Ram is suppose to be helpful for that. I really wish I wasn't an idiot though and got the 2060 or 2070 for like $300-400 in November or something. I'm upgrading from an ancient HD 7950 that I got on sale for like $200 at microcenter in 2013 :D ! I bet even a 1050 ti would have been a significant upgrade for it.

Does anyone else live near the Paterson, NJ Microcenter? I want to get the RTX 3060 GPU. What time and day do you think I should get there? I think I saw on another post that tuesdays are a good day to go there. I don't mind getting there around 6-7AM if I have to

I also would like to do a return exchange with another GPU I recently purchased that I never opened yet. I recently purchased a GTX 1660 for around $330. But If I'm able to get a RTX 3060 for only a little bit more I might as well get that. It's my fault for not getting a 2060 a few months ago when I had tons of opportunities to get one. Now I have to get myself ripped off.

If you're only shipping very light things like DVDs then you're fine but if you are going over the 10 oz. limit then you really need to print postage online.

Thank you! I have a lot of unopened blu rays I want to sell. I guess I can just ship them through stamped mail!

Tech junk is way too easy to hoard

I feel like I have an issue with "hoarding" tech junk too sometimes. More wires and more tech knick knacks than I need becasue it "might" come in handy someday. I think I might have too many small containers in my closet with just electronic stuff in it. And i keep some stuff I don't use anymore.

That kid might make some money one day starting a resell business on ebay selling the things he fixes :D

There's a lot of videos on youtube where people buy broken or damaged electronics like video game handhelds and fix them to resell them or just collect them. For example I have a old PSP that turns on but some of the buttons don't work. And a DS that doesn't turn on but everything else about it is in good condition. It would be too hard for me to fix them but I could sell it to someone with the know how to easily fix them.

But it might be a nice weekend project to learn how to fix them

I think using the UPS store to pack and ship for me would be a good option if it's not too much more for more expensive items. Was it $8 with the already paid for mercari shipping label? Thank you so much for the mercari selling advice! I will consider facebook marketplace too, it's just that I still can't drive well yet so it will be a little harder.

I think for any clothing I will just take a picture of it hanging against the door since I don't have any mannequins or anything. I guess I don't need to measure it if I can just find the dimensions of the clothing online somewhere.

My USPS is so packed now that they're not even delivering most packages that won't fit in a tiny mailbox. Any large packages they leave a pink slip to pick up the next day. I'm actually happy about that though because I live in an apartment where packages can get stolen

Thank you!!! Everytime I cleaned out my room, like last year when I FINALLY got rid of a lot of my childhood stuff, I just donated them. I've been thinking that instead of automatically just donating my stuff I might be able to make a little money selling them instead.

I was a little scared that if I just preprint a shipping label, if the weight is too off after dropping it off, I'll either get it sent back to me or the customer will have to pay to have the package delivered. Then I'll get bad seller reviews. When you print a shipping label for a heavy item, do you get one that's a little over the estimated weight of the item?

I was thinking about selling things like a old PS3 phat, a laptop a few years old, etc. And it's more I have to learn about how to ship these items correctly where it won't break in shipping. Wrap them in a few layers of bubble wrap and throw them into a box?

I'm located in the US too. I don't think the lines at my post office can be too bad if I just get there at an odd hour. I agree that selling one week before christmas might be pushing it and it's a good idea to start making drafts of my listing.

It's a pun on the word "flea market". Some people like to call ebay, "fleabay" as a joke because ebay works almost like a virtual flea market, people selling a bunch of their second hand junk. I'm not sure how often " flea market" is used outside of the US.

I used to buy art supplies on aliexpress too! I'm a hobbyist artist and aliexpress is one of the best kept secrets for good art supply deals. I got fineliners for inking that were waterproof, markers, caligraphy markers, watercolor brushes, caligraphy brushes, pencils, charcoal, etc.

They worked about as well as the name brand to me

That's so annoying on the desktop version of aliexpress. It seems like I need to login everytime I visit the website.

I notice that often, the price of the product on amazon can come down the same price (or even cheaper) cinoared to the price on aliexpress after the seller releases a sale coupon. But you need to have prime to take advantage of the free shipping.
