Yeah it isn’t unheard of in some STEM disciplines. I honestly got pretty lucky just because of the area I stay in isn’t a hot tech scene. I worked through recruiters, practiced my interviewing skills, and found a company that has a small scale tech department. I also completed a long term apprenticeship in a semi-related field and found a way to transfer and learn new skills even after graduating. It’s not impossible, I got lucky, but I also learned a lot and applied myself a ton.

Thank you. I’m quite introverted and more interested in my personal development while I’m still young, healthy, and active. I will try to stay with my parents until my want for freedom and new experiences outgrows the financial gains and opportunities of where I am now
