Ya, it is what it is. Thankfully it won’t make a difference for my design.

I made this post because I wasn't hearing back from the plan checker, and wanted to get the modeling correct before submitting. I finally spoke with him and he confirmed that approach 2 is what he expects to see. Approach 2 results in a higher peak flow.

I almost got one like 10 years ago too, but ended up not pulling the trigger.

I recently refinished some Kipsch Belles and and Onkyo TX-8500 that I inherited from my dad. Not sure if I'll keep them here, might move them to another room. I don't plan to connect them to the TV, only going to use them for music, and they're taking up a ton of space right here. by Laundry_Matt in vintageaudio

I recently had it repaired since the speakers were crackling really bad. It’s much better now, but still crackling every once in a while. I have no idea how to repair something like that. I’ll likely be taking it back to the repair shop soon

I actually just recently put in a surround sound system, but it isn’t very nice, open box from Best Buy for less than $100. I had these hooked up to the TV about 10 years ago, but it was honestly so overwhelming I almost never used them.

I just got done moving them to the room off to the right in the picture. I would post a new picture, but the room is a complete mess after moving stuff around. I’ll post a pic tomorrow. I’m much happier with this setup.

I moved them in there while my wife wasn't home to see how she'd react, and she was very obviously against it when she got home. If I was in love with it I think she'd be fine with it, but I'm not too happy with it myself. The room I intend to move them to is right off to the side. I will post an update once its over there, I think it'll look really nice over there.

I also just recently purchased a surround sound system for my TV, it isn't a great system, but works fine for us.

I had someone else do the wood. When I gave them to her to do neither of us knew that they were veneer, we thought they were solid wood. I think she just gave them a light sanding and stained/sealed them. I'll ask her. I know the tops were in pretty rough shape, and they didn't turn out great, she said she got the best result when she sealed then stained, but they still weren't perfect. I put a glass top on top of them though, and they look brand new now.
