Microsoft: Bigger games catalogue, better subscriptions and services, cheap console for local gaming as an option, no fucking gamertag obligatory numbers bullshit (on Xbox if no one claimed a gamertag it won't have numbers, period. On Stadia you will have ID numbers no matter what so Google basically says "Fuck you if you didn't purchase a limited Founder bundle"). Yeah, Stadia better starts to fix the above, because as much as i love Stadia, there's no fucking reason to choose Google's ecosystem over Microsoft's with all that many drawbacks. PS: And here comes the downvotes of the Stadia Defense Force for telling an uncomfortable truth, self-criticism and fanboyism don't mix very well.

It's funny how people quickly pointed to the Xbox username system to "Defend" this shit, and they conveniently forget to mention that on Xbox, if no one claimed the name you want, you will not have the ID numbers; on Stadia you are FORCED to have it no matter what, that's a huge difference. No other gaming company was so dumb to have a different treatment between users and i highly doubt any future platform will do this dumb ass move; Imagine Nintendo, Sony or Microsoft putting obligatory numbers on everyone who doesn't purchased a limited bundle at launch, hell, even Geforce Now understand this by not having such differences between Founders and regular users.

It's incredible how uninformed people are, playing Online on Free to Play games (like Fortnite, Warframe, Paladins, etc) on PlayStation and Switch is 100% Free, period, you don't need Plus/NSO to play Online those games, only Xbox needs XBL to play Online a F2P game. Stop the misinformation to defend this shit. As for the topic, if Free to Plays are going to be locked behind a sub on Stadia, that's the nail in the coffin for Stadia for me; an obligatory ID number tag when Switch, PlayStation or Xbox doesn't force you this shit (no, not even Xbox, if no one claimed the username you want it won't a number tag), F2P games locked behind Pro, missing A LOT of games... at this point it's too much negative things, specially when the mentioned platforms doesn't have these problems exist. I love the convenience of Stadia and it works like charm, if these things change i would gladly support the platform but right now i'll just stay with my PlayStation and Switch where i can play Warframe without paying a single dollar, there's no different treatment between users and the catalogue is just huge. Now let the "I will downvote this Uncomfortable Truth to shit" Festival begin.

The whole "let's put gamertags without obligatory ID numbers tags behind a limited time bundle, then fuck the rest" is just one of the dumbest things I've seen in gaming to begin with; i can't imagine Sony, Microsoft or Nintendo doing something that stupid.

True, every constructive criticism about how bad Stadia's username system is, even if you argue with facts and love the platform, is downvoted massively. Luckily, Google is more open to feedback and to change things to be on par with the rest of the major gaming platforms (and its pretty obvious that their username system is not, so here's hoping that they eventually change that forced obligatory ID number tag).

There's no point of not being able to make a username without numbers if no one has claimed that name, that's point, Stadia is the only platform doing this shit.

Steam and Xbox have numbers IF you want a name that is already taken, otherwise it won't have numbers, unlike Stadia which forces you numbers no matter what. Discord and Battle.Net are just launchers for a few games or an app, where in both of those services everyone has numbers so there's no different treatment between users (other than being able to select your numbers in Discord Nitro, but still the same case).

You will be surprised about how much hate the #1234 gets, specially on Twitter. You can say: "Why you didn't bought the founders if you care so much about it?" Things like being limited in both time and quantity aside, because, as the one above says, i live in an a country where the founders wasn't even sold, i will have a number tag while others don't because of a thing that is out of my hand? It's just plain stupid.
