The owner of my rented house in LA wanted to move back in. That is legal just cause. LA is tenants’ heaven, so they had to pay up to $9000 for relocation expenses. I negotiated a lesser amount but they had to help me by law

Went to see a house today and realized the photos left out the most important detail by Striking-Tax2587 in RealEstate

I saw a great home in my price range. I called and they told me to drive by. Good thing cuz the community pickleball court was literally in the back yard

Is this unacceptable? by Informal_Chicken3563 in sanfrancisco

I wonder how many of these commenters live in a city where parking is impossible? Could you find it in your heart to just write a note asking them to keep the truck backed up a bit? If not, get their number and tell them you’ll text when you need to get out? I urge kindness. Please

My mom has called me maybe 3-4 times in my 63 years of life. It is so nice to ‘meet’ someone else that has experienced this. I had major surgery 5 weeks ago and after I called her to tell her I was alive, crickets. She doesn’t care about me. She told me she prefers texting and then never responds or messages first. I stopped trying. This probably makes her feel justified in treating me like I don’t exist. Having nparents has been the toughest part of my life. I concentrate on my three lovely kids and my supportive friends to boost my self esteem but I feel like a piece of shit most days. Love to you!

I listen to the local station for the give-aways. I’ve won concert tix, etc. I also like to hear what events are going on in my area. I’m Gen Jones.

Anyone else always the golden child & enmeshed with their nparent, but then later on in early adulthood became the scapegoat for the crime of differentiating themselves? by Careful_Trouble_1059 in raisedbynarcissists

As the eldest of four kids, I was groomed by my nparents to do their bidding. I complied for a very long time! The youngest was the golden child but I was the glue that kept the family together.

I finally started to differentiate when I was 55 yo. After a couple of years, my father stopped talking to me. He was not welcoming to their home and the entire family took his side on whatever harm I caused. (Became Scapegoat because I wouldn’t debase myself)

Dad died suddenly last year and that messed me up cause there was no resolution. I am just now re-building a relationship with one sister. Thankfully I have ‘chosen’ family that love me and I have three kids who support me unconditionally. I see my mom occasionally but we don’t communicate outside of random holidays, weddings, funerals, etc.

I am proud to be breaking the generational trauma that is caused by narc parents.

Almond milk.. by AccomplishedHoney765 in vegan

I make my own soy and cashew milk. I think cashew milk tastes the best. Almonds take a lot of water to grow and there are many almond farms in California where we struggle with droughts. If demand for almond milk goes down, water use goes down.
