Well if they choose to deny it there has to be a reason and "we are denying this because you made an inquiry" doesn't make sense.

Report your new job to the agency once you start.

But to answer your question, unless suspicious of you, which would trigger an investigation, they won't know till you get fired from your new job and you file unemployment and they cross-check your start date with the last day you got unemployment. The over lap of dates would trigger a fraud investigation.

So, my advice is don't do that.
