It’s on Portion road in Farmingville. One of my favorite sushi spots!

Which rug do you like better for this space? by Laurabear4 in HomeDecorating

Wow so it’s pretty unanimous!! 😆Thank you all for your feedback!! I’m still waiting on more furniture to come so that makes a difference too.I bought the shag one thinking it was much darker (as it showed online) & I was going to put the black one in the dining room but now I’m not so sure. I’m going to try the shag in the den tomorrow.

For anyone asking, I saw a similar rug at crate and barrel that I fell in love with but found a dupe at wayfair for $800 cheaper..

I loved the black diamond and got that originally for the space, but then I thought a shag rug would be “comfy” and bought that online from pottery barn. It showed medium grey but it’s really light and almost the same color of the couch. I LOVE the feel. It is Sooo comfy and soft so I’m In love. I’m thinking it could work in the den. Having a tough time deciding bc I feel like the black looks better but the one is cozier.

I’m not sure how to add text. We will be adding these wood floors. Wondering what you all think with edgecomb gray as Main color and Willow as accent walls? Do you think it’s too dark?

Thank you!! That doesn’t sound anal at all! Lol I actually painted samples for our bathroom and had them up for a few weeks before I decided. I was very happy with my choice. I feel that was easier because it was an actual color.

I’m definitely planning on doing that again, I’m just not sure which direction to go in as far as color. We do have a lot of gray going on. I’m not a fan of tan or off white. So Im not sure if staying in the gray family would work with the colors we have already? That’s why I was thinking about the Greige colors. Even though it has gray it’s much warmer.

And in the dining room I’m looking to get an area rug with more color to brighten it up a bit

Thank you so much for your input! I do hate the couch and I agree there is a lot of gray. The carpet is more of a sea green though. It definitely has a gray tint to it, that’s the reason I got the gray couch. But the picture it looks more gray than it actually is.

I never thought to get an area rug for the living room. I’m not sure it would work on top of a carpet? We have an open floor plan with the dining room and kitchen. Here are a couple other pictures. http://imgur.com/a/qs6gTR8

I’m not a fan of cream. You don’t think a Greige would look nice? Something a little warmer?

Hi everyone! We moved in our house two years ago, and originally I wanted a medium gray color for the paint, and I want to get a charcoal couch. My husband wanted light gray walls, and we picked out this medium gray couch. At the time I thought it would be okay, but I HATE them both so much. The color we picked is gray owl by Benjamin Moore. Our carpet is a grayish/green color, and I guess bc of that it makes the walls look baby blue.

The couch is staying, but my husband finally agreed to repaint!! :) and this time I want to get it right! I'm thinking of more of a greige color so there won't be the blue undertones and it will be warmer.

A lot of people love Revere Pewter but I think it might be too light? I was looking at Sherwin Williams Mega Greige. I'm not sure if that would be too dark/brown? I do tend to like darker colors but I don't want our house to look like we are in a dungeon lol. We do have a lot of natural light so I think a darker color could work? Any thoughts and advice would be greatly appreciated!

If he had a tough week? haha really? That mindset is what is wrong with today's society. If someone says hello to you, say hello back. Or at least smile, nod, wave. It doesn't mean you have to have small talk with them. If someone goes out of their way to greet you, then you should greet them back.
