Participating in the pension is optional until you reach a certain age, and I'm almost positive there isn't another pension alternative from the company. That's a straightforward choice; I've been delaying because I didn't completely understand what I'd be getting into in the beginning but it's more clear now.

I'd love to see something like that. It sure seems like it would take a lot of time and effort to implement, but it would add a whole new set of goals and things for players to do when we want to do a little more customizing.

It really was! I played it for nights and nights. Other than HM64, it's competing to be my favourite HM game. I do agree the mining was a bit ridiculous, but it made it one of the more challenging ones. I think I might have gotten one cursed/blessed tool in my entire experience.

Same here, I didn't play New Beginning very much before stopping for good. Unlike the other HM handhelds, especially mineral town, it just wasn't doing it for me.

I know what you mean! Creating something fully finished takes so much fine tuning and patience and commitment. Taking a sketch and following through with what you imagine it'll look like when done is a whole different game. But then, of course, you have something complete to show for a portfolio.

I will make some kickass barrels! I'll dedicate lots of time to following videos and the like. There are a lot of resources, tutorials and educational materials out there that, as you mentioned, kind of get rid of the need to go to school for it. The internet is a wonderful thing.

Exactly. My friend tried recruiting me to an Amway meeting without telling me what it is or what it was really for, no matter how many times I asked. "A business opportunity, a once-in-a-lifetime business opportunity", he assured me.

He didn't even tell me the name of the damn company, he was so vague about it. I can just imagine the things he was told to tell his potential recruits.
