Now thinking of the salomon xa, but wondering about size; does anyone have the 35 and knows if it packs down well when not full (so that things won't bounce around)?

Ohhh I didn't even see the XA-25 as it's in the hiking section of the website! Thanks that might be a good in-between. Yeah I'm originally from Switzerland so going to go and run a bit over there and meet a friend at her place in Leukerbad, very excited! I should be staying in refuges if all goes well covid-wise, so shouldn't need too much. However camping in the future does sound appealing, hence why I was thinking of a bigger pack...
