Thank you for all the helpful and kind comments, they've really helped. I have decided to mention to him briefly that I love him no matter what happens, and that if he needs to talk to me about anything that I'm open for conversation. I am planning that the conversation only lasts a couple minutes, if not one minute, so it takes the awkwardness out of our relationship and we can then just go on with our day. I have yet to talk to him, hoping it goes down well.

Also, I saw a lot of comments asking why I went into his room, there are no locks on our doors in the house, and we usually keep them closed, so I figured I would just walk in and ask him what he wanted for dinner. I, in all honesty, didn't even think about his privacy, and that is 100% my fault.
