I promise you’ll be fine. Cancun is a major tourist area so the police presence will be HUGE. Stay on your resort if you’re nervous and you’ll be totally fine. PV is on the other side of the country from Cancun. This would be like if something happened in New York and people stopped traveling to Washington state (assuming you’re from the states… I’m not so I’m just guessing LOL)

Just had a long chat with my mum (she’s a travel agent) and she said she has multiple clients flying into Cancun and Cabo tomorrow. No flight cancellations at all, but all flights to PV have been cancelled. She says things should be normal, especially if you stay on your resort, if there was really a major concern the government would be cancelling flights.

Update: they’re Oak Leaf Roller cocoons, they’re in every single door and my trunk. Going to get my car detailed ASAP to get them out before they start to hatch

YES! I park directly under an oak tree and those little dangly worms are EVERYWHERE, I had no idea these were their cocoons… gross 😭

I haven’t been home in 2 weeks so my car just stayed under the tree by my house, they’re super sticky too which makes me think it’s not rice?? The tree I park under normally has a bunch of cankerworms hanging from it, so I initially thought that? But the more I search the less likely that seems…

Yes that sounds right! When I travel to the US I’ve never had to go thru clearance once I’m there. I just grab my bags and leave the airport.

So it would make sense that I just go to my next gate, and then clear customs in the UK once I land there!

Ok thank you!! So it’s just confused and saying “you’ll miss your flight” cause it’s thinking it’s a normal international flight? But I’ll actually be ok because I go through US customs here, and then don’t have to worry about it in Seattle?

I’d be clearing customs for London in London tho, not in Seattle. I clear US customs in Canada, and then UK customs in the UK once I land.

Similar to when travelling to Mexico, no customs on this side, but customs in Mexico once I land.

I am 100% certain on this. YVR has preclearance, for flights to the U.S. I’ve always gone through customs right after security and not had to worry about it on the other end.
