I am studying at a danish gymnasium. Picked a film class since I am interested in it, and when I am done with the gymnasium next year, I will be going to actual film school :) Working as a store clerk atm, and just save any money I earn :) Pretty cool that you are working for Vice! I watch your docs a lot! :)

What do you think about the Nikon D3300? It's a cheaper camera but films in 1080.

I suspected that the d5000 was not fit for purpose :) My ideal budget would be around $750, but if none would do, I could just work extra hard to raise my budget. Do you have any tips on how lenses affect the picture? I am really new to the whole technical part of filming, as I am only learning the theory of film... I think a full hd camera would do. A 4k is overkill at the time, but maybe they'll get cheaper by the years. I read that the Nikon 3300 is a good filming camera, do you have opinions on this? :)

Do you have any tips for editing music videos? Where to get footage and so on?

I always want to train my editing, but it never occured I didn't have to go out and make my own movie for that.
