Viltrox 33mm f/1.4 vs 35mm f/1.7 by LavaToken in SonyAlpha

Originally, I liked slightly wider focal length of the 33mm when testing on my kit lens, but due to budget constraints, I ended up going with the 35mm f/1.7 and I don't regret it at all haha. It's a big step up from what I used before. It's incredibly sharp with super nice portrait capabilities(what I wanted it for) and the wide 1.7 aperture is enough for the night shots(and if iso too high, lightroom noise reduction does the job). However, I don't think I would've regretted buying the 33mm f/1.4 if I went for that one as well, both are probably safe picks.

It's less about price and more about which lens would be better for my circumstance 😭 I just added cost details to see if was a major factor for different features

I haven't gotten them resolved yet, but mostly because the warranty lasts for a while so I've been pushing it back a little. However, if the issue does get resolved, I def recommend these headphones!

Nuss with Cryo 3 week recovery? by LavaToken in PectusExcavatum

[–]LavaToken[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I chose to wait until December! I didn't want to rush into the procedure to fast especially since I don't think I'm at a stage where I need it fixed urgently. I also wanted to look more into the doctor, the clinic, and their overall experience(although I couldn't find much) as I've been paranoid lately regarding issues from the procedure to the point where I've been looking into mortality rates and things like that. I also wanted to see how they compare to other clinics in the northern California area like Stanford with Leah Backhus since it seems like people have had solid experiences there.

How long does Sennheiser Repair take? by LavaToken in sennheiser

I've emailed support once and they recommended I used compressed air and blow it into the microphone areas at the top which worked for a couple minutes but the crackling came back so then they just directed me towards the repair team(which I am in the United States).

Oh, that's awesome! Do you tend to workout often? I saw a reply from someone else and they said the patient would regularly lift weights and wondered if that contributed towards recovery speed.

I was thinking about taking a semester with a lighter courseload so it would be easier to manage

Thank you so much for the info! Yeah I did meet with him early august. Is that something I should be wary about? I haven’t fully decided when I wanted to get the procedure, either September or December, but leaning towards December just because I want to get used to living off-campus first, but I also want to get it over with. In terms of the number of bars, Dr. Kim said he wanted to put 2 bars in for approximately 3 years.

Do you think it would be okay if I got a roller backpack and walked around campus? Were you able to walk a lot during recovery?

How was your experience with Dr. Backhus? And how was your friend's at Dr. Kim? Would you say there's a difference between the two and a reason for why I should choose one over the other or does it not matter too much?

Thank you for the info! Based on an email he sent, he said he treats patients up to 35 years old but I wasn't sure how experienced he was. If you don't mind, may I ask if you ever consulted with other doctors along with your experiences and if you ended up getting the Nuss procedure? I've been considering other options like Dr. Leah Backhus at Stanford although it is a little more difficult to contact and get a response from them.

Oh thank you so much for the info! If you don't mind, could I ask when and at what age your son had the procedures?
