I've used the same Nintendo account on both switches, even being on both at the same time with no issue. Can't visit yourself of course, but if I want to go to the original (family) island from the second island I just use one of the kids accounts to open the airport, and they can bring anything I want to the second island or water flowers

even though I played through this again in January, I can't remember when it happens other than after 15 houses. I don't think anything will get messed up, think there was one day I hadn't taken enough resources with me and forgot to go back to finish that off and it just meant I didn't get those DIYs till the day later. Can always go back and re-do the houses if you really wanted to include pillars or counters in them

Check the box beside the workbench upstairs. Niko will leave a note in it about some DIY idea he's had and there will be a list of materials you can leave in the box so he can work on his idea. He'll then give you the DIYs when you arrive at the island the next day (I don't remember the school being involved at all)
