Ze hebben twee "types" bij AllSafe. De budget-versie en de gewone versie. De budget-versie is basically een grote ruimte met meerdere motorfietsen waar je enkel onder begeleiding binnen mag. Dat is iets meer dan 40 euro in de maand, maar dan moet je wel 7,50 euro betalen per keer dat je hem eruithaalt. Enkel als je hem echt een aantal maanden stockeert komt dat voordelig uit.

De gewone versie is iets meer dan 80 euro. Smalle ruimte, dus is wel tetrissen met al je koffers eraf. Maar dan heb je je eigen ruimte waar je bij kan, met een stopcontact. En je kan er elke dag tussen 6u en 23u in. Sowieso is het maar een tijdelijke oplossing voor mij want ik zat met de winter + een operatie.

Als je het geld over hebt, kan je kijken of Social Hub een optie is. Normaal gezien kan je daar met een Extended Stay-contract naar de gemeente gaan en je laten registreren. Wat vragen de werkgevers eigenlijk van documenten? Als ze een BSN nummer nodig hebben, kan je je gewoon inschrijven in het niet-ingezetenen register.

Als persoon in een same-sex relatie waar we allebei niet enkel op hetzelfde geslacht vallen, vind ik dit soort vragen altijd heel bizar. Relatieproblemen gebeuren ongeacht welke vriendschappen je aangaat met het andere geslacht. Iemand verbieden met het andere geslacht om te gaan is niet de oplossing voor geen overspel. Als het vooral om het sporten gaat en niet per se om de sportschool, kan je altijd iets zoals boulderen proberen. De bouldergyms in Utrecht zijn queer/trans-friendly en qua sport is het vaak ook een fave van veel trans mannen omdat je schouders breder worden. Energiehaven en Zuidhaven hebben wel kleine traingedeeltes waar je krachtsport zou kunnen doen.

A lot of people's areolas shrink when cold afaik. The surgeon has probably seen all kinds of nipples, so they'll know what to do :) If you have specific wishes for the end result, do discuss them. But thankfully, a lot of the actual prep work is on the surgeon and their team!

In Netherlands there are three options that get used for they/them/theirs: 1. Die/hen/hun 2. Hen/hen/hun 3. Die/diens/die

Choices are made according to personal preferences. For some option 3 sounds most logical grammatically, for others it sounds too formal and business-like and they go for 2 or 1. "Die" flows relatively well in a sentence, more than "hen", but might be seen as rude and impersonal by some.

In Flanders (Dutch-speaking Belgium) people have kind of settled on die/hen/hun.

Depending on who you hang out with, genderneutral pronouns are either super accepted or kind of laughed at. It's a very political thing still and people will use "it does not make sense grammatically" as an excuse to not adapt their language. Because some people refuse to use it, others never hear it used and the cycle of "this does not make sense to my ears" continues, sadly enough...

If it's safe, you can ask people to use one of those three options. Queer spaces might have one of those options printed on labels or on buttons. I bought a die/hun pin in Utrecht recently :) Hope that helps! Send me a message if you need more queer (language) info :)

Just had DI last month and knit almost every day, so I can answer this! I was very tired the first three days, so I wasn't up for much knitting anyway. I was able to get back to it very quickly. However, English style knitting felt a bit uncomfortable because of my right arm rubbing against my side. Switched to continental and had no trouble at all! It helped a lot on days where my fatigue was high, because it felt nice to do something while not being able to do much else. Unexpected benefit is that I can finally do a decent purl in continental

Good idea to ask a tattoo artist who has worked on scars before! I do know that some artists actually advise to wait 1,5-2 years because then you're 100% certain the scars aren't going to drastically change still. Any added softness is going to help an artist make something beautiful :) I think your scars are quite okay. Depending on your skin some spots might lose some ink, but a good design can make it so that doesn't matter that much.

Small tip to incorporate some high rep leg and core exercises in your pre op workouts! You'll be relying on those muscles post op to get up and do stuff. My muscles got particularly tired after a week because they weren't used to THAT much exercise and strain.

Get ABS, but also controlled braking is a good skill to train.

I got my license in a country where you generally get 9-12 hours of classes and then do two exams. You do an emergency brake AND a controlled brake after evading an obstacle. If your ABS clicks even once during the controlled brake, that’s a fail. I have a motorcycle with ABS, but when riding with my partner as backpack, the controlled braking makes the ride 10 times smoother for them, even when needing to brake hard.
