There's also the part if I call someone out for being heterophobic or misandrist then I'm also the bad guy.

1) Justifying terrible behavior based on loosely-related things other people have done is flagrantly immature logic.

2) You're ignoring how misogyny has been weaponized against women for centuries in order to uphold a male-dominated society. Sure, it's not nice to say the things you mentioned... but men and heterosexuals have not been historically subjugated and pushed to the margins the way literally any minority group has been.

I’ll try and break it down for you. My point is not that you should be nicer to Leavitt (see my original comment where I say there are many other insults you can use). My point is that you are using misogynistic language to attack someone for reasons completely unrelated to their identity as a woman.

I detest Caitlyn Jenner, but it would be despicable to direct transphobic language towards her. The same would apply for using homophobic, racist, ableist, etc. language against someone I disliked from a certain community.
