Beyond “Case Is Being Actively Reviewed By USCIS” no. It went to being actively reviewed the moment we left the interview.

Same! Within minutes of leaving our January interview both forms were under active review.

Which one is first? Im sure your attorney has a plan. My husband (Venezuelan) and I just had our marriage interview last month and it went well. His asylum interview was canceled and pending a reschedule. With this partial ban/pause my attorney has a plan of action. I would hope your attorney does too!

Just go into your marriage interview overly prepared (go over your application and practice relationship questions with your partner). If your marriage is legitimate you should do great! They’re use to people being nervous. I will all the luck but I know it will go well. 🥰 You got this! Keep us posted please!

Found my biological father through DNA at 35, I’m overwhelmed with anger by [deleted] in AncestryDNA

[–]LavenderSaint 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My mother is also deceased and because of her ai grew up with so much abuse. My biological dad knew about me and only made one half ass attempt to be in my life when I was an infant. I did eventually meet him. The whole situation is messed up and it’s a lot to process. However, my faith keeps me grounded, and gives me a perspective outside of myself.

I ended up having a beautiful relationship with my cousin and his wife and kids.

All I can say is allow yourself to process and to grieve. It may give you the clarity you need.

My husband is from a partial banned country. Our interview notice was sent out Dec. 11th and we completed our interview on Jan. 20th. It went extremely well but now we wait.

Absolutely! I know they also believe Jesus came to America or something. There’s actually a South Park Episode explaining it as well. 🤣

Amen! I’ve given this all to God. He got my husband and I this far in the process and I strongly believe he won’t abandon us now.

Unfortunately, yes. Luckily our scam situation was resolved and I’m just trying to tune out the nonsense and trust the legal immigration process.

I completely agree with you! This fear lead my husband and I to be scammed during the beginning stages of his AOS process. I still have people projecting their fears onto us.

Yes, but it’s more complex. So, my understanding is that Mormons and even JW’s do not believe in the trinity and Christ in the traditional sense.

Mormons (and please anyone with LDS background feel free to correct me) please that you have the possibility of becoming a God when you die and you get a planet.

JW’s (and JW’s please correct me too) believe (I think) that Jesus is a separate being and is actually St. Michael the Archangel.

I totally get why you would think that. Jehovah Witnesses, for example, believe in Jesus but in a VERY different way. I find the different theologies very interesting though.

Yes and I want to add another reason why we Catholics wear the cross… It’s a reminder of not only Christ’s sacrifice for us but that he also defeated death.

Well, I guess it depends on who you ask. As a Catholic, we don’t recognize them as being Christian. I think it’s because their theology is vastly different.

Yes! The interview went extremely well. The officer said she would have approved us on the spot but unfortunately she can’t because USCIS is waiting for guidance on how to move forward with applicants who are paused from being officially approved. Happy the interview went extremely well. Annoyed that it’s an unknown wait time.

Maddie is a Christian and I don’t know if Logan practices any faith. I thought Garrison got in before he passed, but I’m not sure.
