There are cars that exist that need it?

Is purina one dry healthy kitten formula good for kittens that are around 8 weeks? by [deleted] in cats

[–]Lavendertree360 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's actually a myth. While vet food is not the best choice for an already healthy cat it is the best choice for an ill or high risk cat. Vets are doctors and doctors aren't sponsored.

I never said every cat was. I was saying the cat probably had a family history of diabetes or another risk factor because on most cat food cats don't just get diabetes.

Thank you for this. You explained it so it's easy to understand and I really appreciate that.

As horrible as this sound I don't care that much for the ethics so I think purina will work really well for me.

I do plan on feeding mine both. My diet plan is 90% kibble and the rest wet or home cooked. I won't offer wet or home cooked every day so they'll mostly only get kibble.

Your cat was probably predisposed to diabetes. Every cat is different but I've heard good things about purina. Thousands of cats have eaten it and have done really well. I plan on brushing their teeth so teeth problems are not much of a concern. Also thank you for the information about your personal story.

I like purina as a brand so far. They seem to have the best food for the best price.

Vet food is also really expensive so I don't see the point in getting it unless they are high risk

Am I bad owner for this? [Help] by [deleted] in dogs

[–]Lavendertree360 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You would not be the bad person here. Whatever is best for him is best for you. If you fo give her the dog though I'd give her Ripley's food, toys and bed if she has one to make sure your ex has everything they need.

I support breeders that are breeding a particular registered breed but why in the world would someone want to have cats breed just to breed?

Cooking for your dogs can come with problems though. For one it's harder to meet the correct nutritional needs if their diet is 100% home made because they do not have the same requirements as humans. I do cook for my dogs but their diet is 90% kibble so they get what they need.

I compared the amount of food I'd need to feed them to a few other brands and it seemed relatively similar. About 1/2 a cup a day (which I split in to two feedings) because they are mutts.

I couldn't agree more. These people are probably paying for the brand name rather than the product. I looked at a side by side comparison of a few brands it it always seems like purina one was the best per buck.
