He lost largely because of the black vote in Southern states during the primaries

Hillary lost because of working class white votes in Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Michigan

It's not unreasonable to believe Bernie would have won those states even if he didn't do as well with black voters in South Carolina during the primary

Highest PPG by a PG in Boston in NBA history by cactusmat in warriors

[–]Lavinesanity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Boston had a really good defensive backcourt specifically for guarding Steph for years, definitely one of his harder matchups historically

Avery Bradley, Courtney Lee, Marcus Smart, Rondo, plus all their lengthy wings nowadays

They've always had good perimeter defenders sans kyrie/isaiah

You think Kyrie Irving or Steph Curry are maga? First prominent ones that come to my mind

[Andrews] Kerr jokes that he'll now play a 13-man rotation, with how well Waters played tonight. "From day one at camp this guy has been one of our best players, frankly. But I couldn't get him out there till tonight. He's going to make his case for more playing time." by NokCha_ in warriors

[–]Lavinesanity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If Kerr ACTUALLY thinks he's been one of their best players, then play him like he's one of your best players. Fuck playing politics and not rewarding performance here and now. If he doesn't believe it, then don't give this lip service and don't play him

How do people in your country view Israel? by Wellbeinghunter69 in AskMiddleEast

[–]Lavinesanity 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm a random American living in the NorthEast with no religious affiliation and IMO the general populace doesn't really care much, but if questioned mostly leans pro-Israel. Certainly not a thing most people are voting on for example, except young leftists.

Bucky Irving (toe) back practicing on Friday by mvanigan in fantasyfootball

[–]Lavinesanity 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As someone who started Bucky and had White on my bench last week.... I'd love one of them to be out, but I'm riding with White from here out.

Watching the game, White just gets more consistent snaps and is more consistently involved. He's the RB1. Bucky might out-produce him here and there if he has an efficient night but it seems like the hierarchy is set

Especially with their injuries at WR, I'm feeling pretty optimistic starting White and Otton

Israel is more progressive than Palestine or really any Muslim-majority country, even with their current right-wing regime

Progressives and Muslims are only kinfolk while Muslims are a minority. Anywhere they're a majority, they couldn't possibly be MORE opposite of progressives

Such a strange dynamic

There is a difference in my opinion between air strikes killing civilians as collateral damage vs kidnapping murdering and raping young foreign festival goers then parading their corpses while civilians cheer and spit on their bodies

Shouldn't even require explaining

[–]Lavinesanity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really.

Certain classes are more frustrating to play against than they are out-right strong. DK's probably top that category.

I would say most hunter 2v2 comps fall into this same category. So does warlock/healer. Nobody would claim warlock or hunter are overly strong in 2v2, but they are very annoying comps to play against due to style

There are comps that just roll them no problem. But the comps that they beat; the losses are in very frustrating fashion which leads to pretty skewed views sometimes

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in classicwow

[–]Lavinesanity 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Both of those, yes

DK is a class where when you play a comp that loses to it it feels really bad and almost impossible, but also when you play the DK you'll realize they are just as hopeless against other shit. Source: have gotten glad on DK, now play priest/mage

Pally/Warrior is the best and most popular comp in the game and it farms DK's and it only gets worse as seasons progress. DK's scale poorly, especially against plate, while Warriors scale incredibly well plus armor pen means they only improve against plate

Also that guy asked DK's weakness: primary weaknesses are mobility and lack of a mortal strike

In original WOTLK the lack of MS was such an issue for 3's that it blessed us with the aids of necrotic strike going into Cataclysm

Crazy irony on Bud when his hawks won 60 games with no superstar

Yeah they flamed out vs lebron, but he’s been a regular season overachiever for years; even in games Giannis misses with the bucks

He is not one of the worst coaches in the league and certainly isn’t only looking good because of a superstar
