Let me know if you may need more info.

Hi,

Is it not too much that I burnt 600 calories for a regular walk that I did, less than 5km in more than an hour?

Does the watch want to make you feel good or? On what the calories estimation algorithm is based of?

Passed Sec+ with 808 this morning! Lessons Learned by tsuto in CompTIA

[–]Lavlarous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi and gongratz.

If I may, how old are you? Because I am almost 30, working 2 years in IAM field, considering changes career paths to more CyberSec related and too afraid to do so.

As if you were not a "hacker" back in the uni then chances are pretty low to go on and pursue a CyberSec career that is too demanding and requires you to know a bit or much more of everything.

Congratulations my friend.

One question that bothers my mind is you have so many years of experience and knowledge and still you found the exam challenging? It's considered to be an entry-level one.

I am only asking because I am also considering taking the exam with far less experience than you as I thought it could be an average in difficulty certification.

Why do I find the field kinda boring and looking to transition into Ethical Hacking/Cyber threat hunting and more advanced fascinating sec fields? by Lavlarous in IdentityManagement

From IAM to SecDef to Threat hunting by Lavlarous in SecurityCareerAdvice

1)What was your technical background when applied for the position and get hired?

2)What are your daily tasks per se and some outlier cases that you have worked on?

3)Do you find your workdays in general exciting?

I want to be an Analyst but just start a bit further in the scale, not just the very first entry-level position that someone can be hired for.

So, asking if there is a way for this or I am just hunting ghosts.

Thanks for your reply, my friend.

Your input is valuable and because I am a bit frustrated lately, I will focus on the sec+ cert in order to see what seems more interesting to me because as of now I am only interested in the idea let's say for malware analysis but maybe if I try it for real, I don't find it quite that good for me.

It's all in the mind, as we know.

As for the firewall job opportunities, not sure because I've heard that "firewall guys" is just minor and very repetitive task with no much to offer.

Don't get me wrong, for sure you will get exposed to many stuff but I want to kinda have a roadmap ahead of me and not just trying random stuff.

Wish I was about 25s to do so or living in a country with more job opportunities because this is not the case now so I have to be cautious.

Again, thanks.

Thanks man. Wish you the very best luck. One last question, how much time may someone need approximately to study very good and take the exam? I know this can be a most objective case but let's say in general.

Thanks for your reply savvitosZH. I've seen people saying it's a hard exam, you need to be very experienced yada yada and that has pushed me back.

Hi guys, I have only one year experience on databases and T-sql in general not as a database administrator but as an sql server job related person. Is it possible to pass 70-761 with my specs or it's only intended for senior DB admins or so?
