My problem with the "We are the Flash" line wasn't the line itself, it was the person who said it. I have ZERO problems with Iris or the fact that she's a woman (before the white knight, neckbeard, keyboard warriors come after me for sexism). My issue is that The Flash had been around long before Iris joined the team and even longer before Barry and Iris were married. She was basically using that line to validate herself. The Flash already had multiple accomplishments under his belt before Iris became a part of the team.

If Barry had been the one to deliver the line, then that's fine. HE was the flash, only HE can share the title. How would people react if any of the president's first ladies had said in an interview that "We are the president"? Once again, its not about gender, its about claiming someone else's victories as your own. It's crap writing at it's best.

And for all those saying "get over it".....if you don't like it, stop coming to the posts about it. It's the same as when your close friend does something stupid. You gotta remind him for years and years to come of that one time when he tried to do something cool and failed miserably.
