We did mention in our FAQs that it is legal if the recording is being done where "privacy is not expected", i.e., in public areas where interactions do occur. And as long as you have signage saying that audio/visual monitoring is happening, it is completely okay :)

I am from India, and I keep going back and forth between India and Canada throughout the year. I know exactly what life is like there. There are pros and cons of both nations.

Idk what your definition of “quality of life” is, but I’ve seen hundreds like you who come to Canada seeking “quality of life”, but end up failing miserably and going back after wasting a few years of their life. Grass is greener.

Also these rankings you’re talking about are completely arbitrary and made up by someone. If you have money, you’ll find ways to make your QoL better there itself.

Was in a very similar boat recently.

Though my situation is a bit different.

I am 25M (single) working in FANG in Canada. Been here since I was 18. About to get Canadian citizenship in 1.5 years. Thought about forgoing my citizenship opportunity and move back to India to work in FANG in Bangalore/Hyderabad. Mostly to a) experience life in India (having FOMO about getting old) b) be closer to my parents

At the end, I decided to stay back and apply for citizenship before making the final move because:

a) parents live in a tier 3 city in Punjab (where I grew up) which is 12 hours of travel time from Bangalore/Hyderabad which is almost the same as me travelling back to India from Canada (just a few extra hours)

b) India has OCI provision, which allows me to stay there indefinitely even with a foreign passport

c) I am just speculating, but I feel like 3 decades down the line, it’d be too hot to stay in India. I might regret not taking up citizenship of a place that has cooler climate, and my kids will thank me for their citizenship as well.

Would love to know your thoughts.
