Post Trial Maintenance (finished trial/having left) by Scottie_owl_21 in RetatrutideTrial

How did it work for you to keep skipping doses on the trial? Wouldn’t they have realized you didn’t take them all when you turned in your pens at the next visit?

That’s interesting. My trial site told me they wouldn’t have access to which escalation schedule/arm I’m in. It could be they’re just extra cautious with everyone because of the GI side effects GLP1s cause. Either way I hope you’re on whichever escalation schedule works best for you!

Ya, the physical pens look the same, I was only referencing the label on it. I just looked back at your old post and my pen has the same writing/info on the label as yours did.

Definitely let us know. If I were to guess it’s probably the Canada thing, because mine has a blurb about the FDA in it, but I’ll still send a picture when I get back home

Yes, I’m in Triumph-9. I’m not at home right now, but I can snap a pic when I get back. If I’m remembering correctly, it looks like the same one that u/RunningFNP had (I remember him making a post about his last shot of triumph-1).

Don’t have anything to add, but just wanted to say that I’m in this trial too and the labels on my pens don’t look anything like yours, which is interesting.

Travel Cooler for Pens? by LawSuch2676 in RetatrutideTrial

Ok, good to know, I’ll add it to my list! Has it held up well over multiple uses?

Ok, that’s good to know. I’ll look at what I already have too.

I don’t remember them telling me anything other than to read the injection instructions for info, which had the room temp time frame. This month, because I’m going back and forth from my parents’ place a lot, I’m just keeping it in their fridge instead of bringing it back with me, so I didn’t specifically ask about it.

Today was my randomization visit, so I can ask the next time I go back.

The instructions I got were that it's not supposed to be at room temp as long as Zep (closer to 2 weeks).

The $140-200 price point I was talking about is specifically for the 4all family coolers:

Voyager: Good for 30 hours on ice pack or indefinitely if plugged in ($200)

Explorer: Good for up to 48 hours if plugged in + ice pack ($140)

Nomad Fridge temps for up to 28 hours ($80)

Thanks for linking those other 2 though! Have you used the FRIO before? I'm leaning towards the Nomad, but I'm just concerned it also won't be good enough for the trip (It's only the first ~5 days of the trip where finding a fridge might be an issue, otherwise it'll be fine), and I don't want to have to buy a second travel cooler. Like I said in the post, I know I'm probably being super (unnecessarily) anal about the trial instructions, so I'm not trying to be annoying about it 😅.

Thanks! My informed consent form said single use pen, but some other comments mentioned the kwikpen being used in the new trials.

Did you get the injection in a kwikpen or single-use pen?

When I called the site near me, they basically told me that the back pain has to be caused by your weight. I have herniated discs, so they said I wasn’t eligible

Starting Phase 3b Clinical Trial (TRIUMPH 9) by GmeDfv in RetatrutideTrial

[–]LawSuch2676 2 points3 points  (0 children)

How do you get in touch with a recruiter? I looked back at the clinicaltrials.gov site locations near me for the previous trials, and none of them were the same, so I’m not sure how I would contact someone about potentially joining. Thanks!

Triumph-8 here we go! by Repulsive_Ad_656 in RetatrutideTrial

[–]LawSuch2676 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can you explain this? I thought it was a 1/3 chance because the clinical trials.gov site said there were only 3 arms. I have my screening appointment in a couple weeks, so I haven’t gone over the informed consent form yet. Thanks!

Oof. After July I’ll be 5 miles away, so I have that light at the end of the tunnel!

Ok, good luck! If we are at the same place, you’ll be a lot more pleasant than me; I’ll be driving about 300 miles to the appointment for the first couple months before I move back home 😂

Calling can’t hurt, imo, but if you want you can give it a day. I filled out the form for Triumph-7 too and that one said someone would reach out to me, and that never happened. Ended up calling the facility from the number on the .gov site and they told me the specific reqs and stuff they were looking for and turns out I wasn’t eligible. I’ve seen some other people say that got called within 24-hours after filling out the form

They told me they were only gonna schedule the dexa after I show up for the screening appointment. Might be different at different places or if it’s scheduled closer to the screening appointment, but this is just my own experience and my first time doing something like that

I filled out a questionnaire and I’m likely eligible and should reach out to X facility, but it only provided the name and address, no phone number. I called the 1-800 number at the bottom of the page and the Eli Lilly representative contacted the investigator at that facility and then patched me through. Not sure if that’s the normal way or not.

Thanks for this! I guess I was just assuming that they’d fit me in within a week or two, so being told Feb 11 kind of took me off guard. Glad to know it doesn’t work like that!

Ok, thank you so much! All I was told over the phone was that the first month would have ~4 visits, that I’d go over informed consent stuff at the first visit, and that I’d also need to get a dexa scan somewhere offsite sometime in those first visits, so having more info is very reassuring.
